Well, politics on all sides these days is dominated by corrupt sectional interests.
Plenty of big money on the Remain side.
But Guardianistas just can't accept that the people voted against THEM with their arrogant, superior sense of 'sophisticated intelligentsia.'

"""Guardianistas just can't accept that the people voted against THEM with their arrogant, superior sense of 'sophisticated intelligentsia""" very true Lin... they and the morons of the EU simply cannot get their heads around the fact that voters went against them... and all the insults and threats and intimidations both before and after the referendum show them up for what they really are ...... a set of bullies who will stop at virtually nothing to get their own way .. they will use any method to retain their cosy but very unreal world of make believe and money money money ...they don't give a damn about freedom or choice or equality or fairness yes they do think them selves superior in their arrogance.. an arogance which collapses when faced with reality and even more laughable .. were all people who had done very well by getting the cream.. such as the Kinnocks .. Millibands..Branson etc etc and others of their ilk but we are not out of the woods yet.. neither is Europe.....still a way to go.... EU finances should be interesting later this year we know they want and need 100billion from us UK to help them out of their financial mess but even if we were to pay 100 billion ransom to get us out of their clutches.. what will they do next year and the year after that wobble wobble wobble

""""A huge structure of Theresa May flicking the V sign has been erected on the White Cliffs of Dover.
It shows the prime minister dressed in a Union Jack skirt with her two fingers raised towards the channel.
It is unclear who is responsible for its construction near St Margaret's but it has already been taken down.""""
I lurve it.. pity there isn't a photo[or perhaps there is]and it goes without saying its been taken down.. tsk tsk we cannot have people being allowed to be nasty to the EU and its nodding donkeys

and !!!!? what has that to do with anthing? I think it has to be remembered that it was Bussiness only that wanted unfettered immigration... no one else some immigration is perfectly acceptable socially and every other way .. immigration at the levels seen over the past few years its totally unacceptable ...the strains on the infrastructure are very visible .. get away from the idiots who blame every thing on immigration...be realistic and take a good hard look at the realities.. and the only people who benefit is business who want a never ending supply of cheap labour and government who want to tick boxes .. the amounts of zero contracted hours is a very big indicator .. I forget the numbers who are on this system..its a high number and totally unacceptable we need to have a reacessment of immigration ...a strong reacesment which would benefit every one including immigrants .. I ve mentioned before when up in Scotland year before last.. we stayed in three different hotels in different parts..two out of the three hotels had a policy of employing local scots .. rather the the mix of staff the last and so many hotels rely on so if some hotels can provide local staff.. why are other so keen on hiring non Scots especially in areas of high local unemployment ? the hotel which employed over seas staff.. the staff were great no problems with them as people what so ever ... the problem is that in areas of high unemployment locals should always be employed before none UK citizens

But immigrants consume goods and services. This will raise overall demand and help create more employment opportunities. Immigrants may have skills that complement those of UK-born workers, which can also raise demand. We need empirical evidence to settle the issue of the economic impact of immigration on the UK-born. • The latest evidence suggests that neither immigration as a whole nor EU immigration has had significantly large negative effects on employment, wages and wage inequality for the UK-born population. Nor, it should be said, have there been large positive effects. • Immigrants do not take most new jobs. The immigrant share in new jobs is – and always has been– broadly the same as the share of immigrants in the working age population. • Areas of the UK with large increases in total or EU immigration have not experienced greater falls in either jobs or pay of UK-born workers. The big falls in wages observed after 2008 are more closely associated with the fallout from the global financial crisis than immigration. • There is little effect of immigration on inequality and the relative pay and job prospects of less skilled UK workers. Changes in wages and joblessness for less educated UK-born workers show little association with changes in immigration. gatesofbabylon.com/post/223864/thread

socialistreview.org.uk/312/immigration-do-immigrants-lower-wagesor this from the TELEGRAPH Telegraph.co.uk Tuesday 06 June 2017 Mass immigration could see water shortages, failing hospitals - and we won't feel richer, says Civitas The report from Civitas found that large-scale immigration will have a negative effect on standards of living as any economic benefits will be outweighed by pressures The large scale population growth, fuelled by immigration, could cause water to be rationed in some parts of the country By Christopher Hope, Senior Political Correspondent Uncontrolled immigration could lead to water shortages, overcrowded classrooms, failing hospitals and the need for hundreds of new cities to cope with Britain’s booming population, a new report warns. The report from Civitas found that large-scale immigration will have a negative effect on standards of living as any economic benefits will be outweighed by pressures imposed by a much bigger population. In a report on economic consequences of immigration, Cambridge University economist Robert Rowthorn said any gains would be small compared to strains placed on amenities such as housing, schools and hospitals. The 85-page report that as a result gross domestic product would grow as a whole but GDP per capita would be only marginally affected by projected population growth forecast for the coming century. Mr Rowthorn, Emeritus Professor of Economics at Cambridge University, said: “Unrestrained population growth would eventually have a negative impact on the standard of living through its environmental effects such as overcrowding, congestion and loss of amenity.”
