None of my children or grandchildren have leaned to the extreme. Of course the girls (3 of them) wear leggings, but they are slender and do not look out of place. Also, they do streak their hair but in subtle ways, not extreme. I agree with you abut the maternity wear. There were several pictures in the news of Amal Clooney, expecting twins in May, out and about with her husband and friends. It was refreshing to see her in mostly more traditional attire. That looks nice. That's the kind of things my wife wore when she was pregnant. Loose dresses and tops. I'll bet they are a lot more comfortable, too.

Hi Men an tol, Would you rsther people went around in the nude? There are nudist colonies around and I would personally prefer to look at someone with their trousers at half mast than not wearing any at all. Horrible.!!! What a foolish jump to a conclusion. I was talking about societal norms and you take it into the ludicrous. Hi Men an tol, Apparently everything I say is ludicrous according to you. Have it your way. Who was responsible for the trend in hair styles, especially the rooster? Someone has to think it up in the first place, then the young just go along with it. And what about holes in Jeans? Now that is ridiculous.

Neither are those who are from the Amish community. Although I don't agree with their religion, neither are the youth from the Black Muslims. When the youth are taught ethics, morals, self-respect and community values there is no actng as you describe. It is just that some parts of our communities have lost their way.

Tattoos, on the face no less, piercings, large earlobe inserts, pregnant with bare bellies sticking out, some times going to the store is like walking down the fair way of a side show strip. To day all you have to do is go to the parking lot of a large store and watch the people park and leave thir cars and return. Clowns are better dressed than these people.

People engage in pursuits that make for happiness in their lives, don't you think?

Hi Men an tol, we are all receiving an education of sorts. just by living in this world. Perhaps entertaining to boot. I'll let you into a secret. When I go into town the only thing that I am concerned about, is my safety, nothing else. I am usually deep in my own thoughts apart from that. How people are dressed is normally not on my mind. It is what they do that could prove a danger.

However some unique acts are no more than anarchy with no benefit other than just to be different.

When I go into town the only thing that I am concerned about, is my safety, nothing else. I am usually deep in my own thoughts apart from that. How people are dressed is normally not on my mind. It is what they do that could prove a danger. Well I feel no danger and am not concerned about my safety. I do find people an interesting never ending parade of entertainment. That doesn't mean that they are bad or clownish. Today, park across from me was an elderly couple, even older than me. Neither, particularly the man, could walk easily. He got to the car first and was having trouble getting positioned to get into the driver's seat. I was about to go and see if I could help him when his wife arrived. It soon became apparent that this thing of having difficulty getting around is something that was normal in their lives and it was also apparent that they took it with degree of humor. Another car had two young mothers (each with a child) come to a car and put in their groceries and then work to get their children in their strap-in seats. The women were well over weight and their chaldren were carrying extra weight. As one mother got her child into the seat she reached into a grocery bag, pulled out a bag of potato chips, ripped the bag open and stuck it into the hands of her child who was fussing. Whether she meant to or not she was teaching the child to eat to relieve stress. It was easy to imagine that in the future the over weight mother would be going around with her over weight child. To me that was not a good future for her or the child. Yes, I find the parade of people a never ending entertainment and am never concerned about safety.

I blame the media for making an issue out of taking photographs of actors as to who is pregnant. They seem to be very interested in that.!!!

Hi Men an tol, Sometimes low self esteem is the cause of a lot of the outrageous behaviour, so they are making sure that they will be noticed. Then again, it could be that this sort of behaviour appeals to them. So they are being true to themselves. I really am not too perturbed as I am only interested if there is danger around.

I was talking about societal norms and you take it into the ludicrous. what have nudists to do with wearing pants half mast ? very strange ...my children were given their head.. they have to be young and make mistakes and to learn their own style.. we/i only drew the line when going out and then they were expected to dress properly as suited the occasion ..same with grandsons if we were going to a wedding or out for a meal or theatre then trousers were worn as they were meant to be worn[mind it isn't as easy to wear trousers half mast as it is jeans ]shoes rather than trainers and pressed shirts.. jackets etc son1 still wears a diamond stud in his earlobe some times....but never in a work situation .. time and place is every thing
