We had 3 bombastic electrical storms toay. The last one was a couple of hours ago and I'm guessing we may have at least one more before morning. Sleep sweet and have a nice Wednesday. Hi Beth, I hate when there is an electric storm. I usually find a place to sit where I am out of range of the windows. As a child in Scotland, had my legs reached the floor when sitting around the fireside , I would have been killed. Lightening came right through the window and struck my pet tortoise at my feet, it wasn't killed, but it was blinded and had blood pouring from it's nose, poor thing.!!! Aw! That's terrible. It may have saved your life, though. The rain has moved on now but the weather is still up and down. We are on the northern tip of a snow storm that's been predicted for Saturday and Sunday! Weird weather because today (and supposedly Thursday are 50s and 60s F. If it follows through with the forecast, the cold will probably nip the spring shoots that are already out. Knock on wood it won't happen but prepare for the worst.

Hi Beth, I haven't had a headache since my teen years, I seem to keep in good health most of the time. Most of my headaches come from sinus issues and allergies. You're lucky to be spared. Hi Beth, I was undernourished as a child because we were poor, so I never cease to be amazed at my good health. Somebody upstairs must love me. LOL.

I remember, that no matter how you were thickly dressed with woolens, the wind used to whistle through everything as if you didn't have a stitch on. It really was cold.

Somebody upstairs must love me. LOL. You've done very well. Maybe having less as a child taught you to cope and rise above problems. I was better off as a child and growing up than I am now, but I was fully aware of that at the time and told myself to enjoy because it probably wouldn't last. Soo I did.

Hi Beth, whatever circumstancess you are born into It is good to always make the best of it, your attitude can make a big difference. Some people have money and good health but they still find a reason to complain. So a cheerful attitude is always welcomed.

I'm glad you're having a nice afternoon, mouse. It's just middle of the morning here so there's no time for me to stay. I posted some of the plain facts about the new health care bill. Off to work. Back later, maybe.

The north wind does blow And we shall have snow. What will poor robin do then!!!!??
We have had spring like weather with birds everywhere. Then, today we started out with bright sun but sightly colder temps. Tonight, we are down to 29 degrees F and forecast to go to 20! It has been raining, but I believe it has gone to sleet (or what they call a wintry mix). I have turned up the heat and hope the birds and other little outdoor animals have sheltered spots staked out for the night.
Sleep warm.

I do hope you enjoyed your pancakes, mouse. I like them better than waffles.
It did turn out to be unseasonably cold for the weekend but no snow! Very glad of that.

running late on drying clothes as the person ahead of me dropped the ball...I paid for the dryer for them as I couldn't stand the thought of putting someone's clothes in the cart still quite damp so that set me back 1 1/2 hours but I have nothing else to do so no biggie.
Good day all around...see what tomorrow brings...no plans.

The dreary part can't last much longer, mouse. Your spring always sneaks in and blooms before ours.
It's bright and sunny here as usual but cold and will continue to be cold all week .. with a return of the 50s and 60 F, on the weekend.
It will be a late, mid April, Easter this year, and already the stores are filled with Easter related candies and toys and children's clothing. Cheerful in a way but who is going to want the peeps that have been sitting there for almost 2 months?
