A few years ago my sister knew my interest in Grey Gardens and sent me this book: I remember the headlines back in the 70's on the newstands and I still try to figure out what went wrong that they went from high society to living in filth and stench. Big Edie wouldn't give up that house and it destroyed her....my opinion only. It's depressing to watch the documentaries but I did. On their first visit, Little Edie invited the couple in, pirouetted, and said "all it needs is a little paint." That is what was said to Ben Bradlee and Sally Quinn as Little Edie showed them Grey Gardens....lol

Anna, the only movie filmed was an HBO film so this is the documentary.
The documentaries are also available on youtube I believe; not sure if I'm going to watch.

Thanks, Chef. Good that it's here for the viewing. Personally, I don't like that kind of thing. To me, it's depressing.
