Are the USMNT Capable of Challenging Argentina in Copa America Semifinal? Before the Copa America Centenario began, United States men's national team boss Jurgen Klinsmann said the goal for his team was to qualify for the semifinal round, per Scott Sidway of MLSSoccer.com. Now that the Yanks are in the final four, they have a chance to pull off one of the biggest wins in the history of the national team. When they step on the field at NRG Stadium in Houston on Tuesday against Argentina, the U.S. will be decided underdogs, a role that has suited them in plenty of past tournaments. The USMNT will square off against a side full of world-class talent led by Lionel Messi, who has looked phenomenal during the tournament since his return from injury. Earning a spot in Sunday's final at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, isn't an impossible task for the Americans, as midfielder Michael Bradley pointed out to reporters on Sunday, per Steven Goff of the Washington Post: bleacherreport.com/articles/2647341-are-the-usmnt-capable-of-challenging-argentina-in-copa-americe-semifinal?utm_source=cnn.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=editorial
