Congrats to GS. At this time of year the competition for summer jobs is pretty fierce. Now, he can relax and enjoy his free time. Hope you get him for a few weekends, anyway. Sunny and bright here. 70s F. Perfect spring day.

My father-in-law had only been home for two days. They released him thirty-six hours after he had surgery to widen his PEG line for his feeding tube. He did have some internal bleeding, but they got it under control.
When he was home, he wanted me to help him find some sort of headphones solution so he could watch TV without everyone else hearing it excessively. I bought him the Skullcandy Hesh 2.0 Wireless headphones that also comes with a cord to hook into a headphone jack if the Bluetooth battery wares down. I also bought an audio "y" cable to hook up to the TV from the headphones. I also bought a spare micro USB cable to encourage him to keep his headphones charged. He told me that I should make some sort of business out of helping people with solutions such as that. I gave him a hug and I told him that I love him.
Monday, I was on my lunch break at work and I got a notification from the Ring Doorbell App that someone rang the doorbell. I answered the notification and it was the paramedics. He had to be intubated.
I called mom fifteen minutes later and asked her if we need to know which floor he is on just in case if he tries to get us to pick him up before the intended release date. She said that we may not have to worry about that. After that and for the rest of the day I wanted to puke.
I clocked out and drove home. I stepped in the door and I asked mom what's going on with dad. She told me that they did all that they could. He is no longer suffering. I knew in the back of my mind, ever since I was on maternity leave, that dad wouldn't live to see my son's fifth birthday. I wanted to be wrong!

Beez, we all have to go through times like this in our lives. It is never easy. We sympathize with you and send you prayers and courage to get through this trying time. He will live on in your heart.

it's been nice all day, weather-wise ... still is, but more clouds than earlier. Probably means showers at some point. Forecast is for a warmer week coming up. Means prepare for A/C usage.
I'll be here for awhile later, working on a new feature. Might be ready to yhave it open for use by tomorrow evening. I'll keep you posted.

I miss them You did the right thing. That was a good experience, I'm sure. Do you still have the birds? yes....they are chattering away right now. They know when I say nite-nite and pickup the sheet to cover them, they head for the loft on their cage.

Hi Beth, I will be taking time out in order to read a book that will teach me how to use my Android phone so that I can use it. I'm having too much trouble with this present IPhone. I will then be using my Android when I am able to return. Sounds pretty daunting to me, SL. Good luck getting it all ironed out. Hi Beth, It is a bit daunting and probably will take me ages. My bad memory gets in the way too as I find it difficult to remember everything. I thought I would just pop by for a quick look and then back to the grind again. C.U.
