the sun shone all day yesterday hot hot hot...so we sat in the garden all day with our visitors a friend of daughters and s friend she had staying with her..from Germany..and no we didn't really talk about the EU and the refferender or Merkel..though she said that they were being told by media that the UK anti EU..were isolationists and anti EUROPE..which of course is not true..we are not isolationists nor are we anti Europe..just anti facist EU..but she is an intelligent woman and knows that for herself but when talking about the world in general..greed wars..big business etc she told us that as a 17yr old her father had been [ww2]conscripted and sent directly to the Russian front..he never spoke about it almost as thought it had been wiped from his memory..then at 80 he had quite a serious operation and the memories came back...to such an extent he committed suicide as he couldn't live with what ever memories had been awakened....17 and sent to fight where very few were ever expected to survive..one of the most brutal military campains of history....doesn't bear thinging about
the sun is out but only until around one when its expected to cloud over..and rain tomorrow..errruughghgh....

We've had rain in various degrees all week, but the weekend is supposed to be excellent for being out and about. Nice weather is almost always the case for Mother's Day weekend. It's time for the planting of the annuals as well as rose bushes ... laying of new mulch, etc.. As you're winding down, it's just now lunch time here.

We are going to have a zoo day this afternoon. One of our favorite things to do with the kiddo and she will be taking a friend this time. Happy weekend, everybody.

My father-in-law doesn't know what year it is, but he did remember that the hospital they shipped him to is the same hospital where I delivered my son. He has been making a big deal about going to the VA hospital instead of civilian hospitals where he'd get better care. My mother-in-law said she'd take care of him, but she has her L-VAD amongst other issues. She said she'd take him to the VA if it isn't a dire emergency since he apparently knows everyone there. If his mind is going, it won't matter if he didn't go to the VA.
They were going to do a sleep study at a civilian facility, but he kept on demanding to be taken to the VA. The VA does have an equivalent to what he needs when it comes to physical therapy and the sleep study for sleep apnea, but they didn't have enough room for him. They had enough room easily at the civilian facility he went to originally. My father-in-law said that they aren't able to do sleep studies on people with pacemakers. I think he misunderstood. They can't do an MRI on people with pacemakers. I don't know if he's confused or if he's bullshitting us.
He has beef with the Baylor healthcare system because Baylor is wearing his father died. His father was in crap condition anyway. His aorta burst after surgery on his heart. I don't think that can be helped no matter what facility you are at. i'm thinking he doesn't want to die at Baylor at least. I know he'd rather die home, but none of us want him to die at home.
When he was still at the local Baylor hospital before being transferred to the rehab and sleep study facility, he told my mother-in-law that the doctor said that instead of calling 911 and have an ambulance take him to Baylor she could just take him to the VA and it'll be OK. I know that is a big fat lie! A doctor would never recommend anything like that!

Beez...the baby all grown and not tiny any more...how time flys
yesterday was successful...don't know how much was made...but the tables were beautifully set with flowers and polished cutlery..it was all very inviting and every one looked to be enjoying their food and the general ambience...
bright sunshine again...it rained a little late afternoon yesterday..and the garden is this morning looking refreshed and I swear every thing has grown an inch due to the rain not doing anything today...just sitting in the sun

Hi Beth, I will be taking time out in order to read a book that will teach me how to use my Android phone so that I can use it. I'm having too much trouble with this present IPhone. I will then be using my Android when I am able to return.
