Make a great day out of a gray day! It is an exceptionally warm day here for April. We are trying to keep from turning on the AC until May, at least, so have the fans going already this morning. I have 2 dutch apple pies in the oven to get that out of the way before it gets too warm. Kitchen windows open wide to catch the light breeze.

We've had a warm sunny day but now that it's evening, clouds are coming in. Forecast calls for thunderstorms tomorrow with cooler temps for the next week or so. Probably Dogwood winter.

don't know what SCA is ?? but they do very realistic battles though very padded up underneath the armour..its just his cup of tea for relaxation..thankfully he has given up boxing..i hated him doing that..far too many long term hazards in boxing I think his girl friend had a lot to do with his quiting..now they have settled down together but he is a very strong fit young man who needs a physical outlet..at least its legal and unharmful to others....
we have snow..thunder and lightening.....snow is laying in London...Yorkshire...Devon in fact we seem to be getting off quite lightly[according to the news] but its bitterly cold..last week it was shorts and t-shirts,,this week its back to scarves/gloves etc etc

Very warm, sunny and spring like.

I can converse about the U.S. branches but am not well versed when it comes to the English shires. this could be yours ... not sure. www.flintheath.org.uk/We used to belong. A thunderstorm just blew past that was the biggest I've seen here for a long time. Heavy winds, thunder and lightning with huge amounts of downpour. Hope it won't be back tonight. The power was off for at least a half an hour.

its grandson 1 Beth..he isn't in England...but I have seen photos and videos and they are very realistic..as near to real as you can get with out actually killing each other...the swords are blunt instead of honed...they do re-enactment for fun and for TV films every now and then,,,in their real lives these men are a mix of proffesions and ways of life from ex soldiers..lawyers..shop keepers etc etc
dry morning a little sunny and a little cloudy

I am sure you have had a very good visit, Chef. I am equally sure it is hard to live a distance from your children. I tried that for a few years and finally relocated to be closer to them. We have never regretted it, although we try to spend part of each spring and summer back in Tennessee.
It is cloudy and warm today. We are expecting rain before nightfall.

Massive storm coming in. It's dark enough to be late evening.
I need to bring this system down and kill the power for an hour or two.
Be back later (hopefully).

A beautiful day today. Warm and spring like. Much bird activity in the trees. Nest building, no doubt.
I shopped this morning and bought a new purse for the season. It is made like an old fashioned carpet-bag, except much smaller, of course. Very attractive in a pattern with various shades of blue.
This week is going quickly. It is hard to believe tomorrow will be Friday.
