Waterfall which has been dry for 200 years starts to flow again after heavy rain - making it the largest in the UK at 200ft Malham Cove waterfall hasn't flowed for 200 years but has now started to fall again after heavy rain hit north west Before the recent storms, the tallest unbroken waterfall in England was Hardraw Force, which stood at about 100ft But Malham Cove has been brought back to life by Storm Desmond and is now flowing for the first time in centuries Heavy rain has lashed north west of country over the last few days - bringing a record 13.5 inches within 24 hours A waterfall which has been dry for hundreds of years has been brought back to life by Storm Desmond. Malham Cove has been reignited by heavy rainfall over the weekend and at 200ft is now believed to be the highest unbroken waterfall in England. SO DRY FOR TWO HUNDRED YEARS AND DUE TO RAIN RE STARTS TO FLOW of course it has to be global warming which is to blame BUT it begs the question if it only dried up in the last two hundred years why was it flowing before the last two hundred years... and could it possibly be that the weather in fact had not been throwing as much rain for the period which saw the waterfall actually stop there are plenty of places which were once river and stream beds...but which have dried naturally....leaving us in no doubt that once they were active rivers and streams is there any thing which cannot be blamed on so called global warming
