A long day makes for a tired night.
Off for an early-to-bed.
Be back tomorrow.

Animal shelter whose??? general of just one species..should be interesting though...
another week half way through already... the no smoking or rather the cut down is down to a regular 5perday now...so am chuffed to little mint balls to have got this far and breathing is much improved am trying to decide whether to go to a band concert on Saturday..its one our group are putting on to raise money ..brass bands are still quite big here in the north of England..and we produce some big competition winners... and we are providing a light supper of sausage rolls and mincepies along with a bar and of course the music...perhaps I should wait and see what the weather does

We have a cold day. It will warm up on the weekend or so they say. I'm wearing a winter sweater and slacks for the first time this season. The stores are still pushinjg their Black Friday bargains so they must not have sold all they wanted to. Anna we are not quite into full winter dressing but getting there by degrees its not as cold as it was last week...so boots and thick sweaters are still to come I just bought my self a new winter hat..a [faux]furry very cossak one and this time it doesn't drop down to rest on my ears and glasses making me look rather demented but fits properly ...the only trouble is it plays havoc with the hair and leaves it flattened to the head...but other than that very cosy and warm we appear looking at the adds on telly to be in black Friday week ...ughgh

Breathing better is good, mouse. Maybe you could substitute the E-cigs for the last 5 a day you need to get rid of. Have fun at the band concert. They are still big here too around the holiday time.

Good morning! Bright sunshine and cold temps. Working from home today so should be back here off and on.
Stunned by the San Bernardino massacre. We never get used to the gun tragedies. This one is a really bad way to start the holiday season.
Also, totally surprised at the Oscar Pistorius conviction. Goth topics have threads in Gates of Babylon Crime.
Back later.
Have a good'un.

I hear you, Beth. When I heard on cable TV there had been another mass murder, it was almost too much to believe. At first, I thought they were talking about Co. Springs and then they said 14 dead. Surely, at some point, the people in this country will see there has to be better gun control! Assault rifles should not be easy to acquire.

Good evening everyone! I start my brand new volunteer job at the animal shelter tomorrow! That is interesting. Are you doing it through your school or on your own? Either way, it will probably turn out to be a rewarding learning experience. Do you have a pet?

finalising Christmas shopping this morning...while the chappied comes to do the bathroom..there is just one wall which isn't tiled so it and the doors/skirting board need a re-fresh...and while he is here he can fix the wooden arm on one of the kitchen chairs which keeps coming off.. I like it so don't really want to ditch it for the sake of a little glue..plus it lasted my mothers life time[it was in her mothers kitchen] and now mine..so its a link with the past
