Sunny, blue skies and warm - 70s F. We had a little rain last night but it didn't amount to much.
Anyway, beautiful day.

Good to get it done and get it over with, mouse.
I had flu and pneumonia shots about a month ago. Last week a friend was here visiting with her little 6 year old. The child was coughing a lot and I thought she felt too warm, given the cool weather. My friend called yesterday to let me know Angela's doctor had just diagnosed her with pneumonia and put her on antibiotics with more treatment to come if her fever should go up. Ach!!!! I'm very glad I'd bothered to get my immunizations.
Busy day today. Off to make tea and toast.

Rainy with mild temperatures today.
I went shopping with my older daughter this morning. All the stores are setting up their Christmas displays.
When did this start the first week in November? It is dep[ressing. The day after Thanksgiving is plenty soon enough.
We ended up in Barnes and Noble and bought a couple of books and a few magazines.
Have a nice Friday.

Really do not like all the stores moving into Christmas so early. Of course, they're anxious to make all the sales they possibly can, but I won't be doing any holiday related shopping until December. Just a matter of principle.

who does like being harassed on all sides with Christmas things..from shops to tv adds..its horrible
its a wild windy wet one this morning still lots of leaves to come down...but the colours have been a joy this year I had my PHEW-MONA jab when I was 75 and seems I don't need another one so was duly just jabbed for flu...but asked if I wanted a shingles jab..well ive had shingles...but it seem the jab will not stop you from getting shingles bur will decrease the pain by up to half...if one gets it again
friends coming round later...for an afternoon by the fire
bonfire night came and went..much quieter than other years..probably the weather...but still enough bangs and rumbles cracks etc to resemble a war going on...we had a re run last night..and no doubt again tonight if it stops raining...but they were all distance so little Em didn't have to be petted through any trembles and fear

I get mine over early so I can enjoy the weeks before Christmas baking and visiting. Glad you are now immunized, mouse. No time to be sick this year.
