Yes and we're having a very late Easter this year. April 20, I think. Her prom is the 1st or 2nd weekend in May, though and that's the biggy as this is her senior year. After that, graduation. Good to see you. You always bring fresh air from Tennessee ... one of my favorite states. I took this in Tennessee... And this... And this is just to back up my earlier assertion about having been there and literally bought the t-shirt. You'll just have to imagine the big hole in the floor...

Update! I am sorry I have been gone. I feel like a turd. The pregnancy went well. No complications whatsoever. I had to be induced since he was being a stubborn little cutie. I was in delivery for between 8 and 9 hours total. I didn't push until the last hour. Thank God for epidurals! My little guy came out very relaxed. He was born on February 7th at 4:46 PM. He weighed 6 lbs. 12.6 oz. and he was 21.5 inches long. He has big feet and big hands for his size. He is my little dude clone. He will be getting his tongue tie looked at and possibly fixed on Friday. He is getting over Thrush. Mommy thought his blocked tear duct was conjunctivitis and the nurse practitioner gave me an antibiotic for his eye. The antibiotic got in his mouth and thrush happened. Baby is doing well otherwise. Mommy is hanging in there. congratulations hon. watch out for the big feet. that means he has to grow vertically to fit them how do you treat thrush in a baby? they can't swish and spit He has medicine that he can swallow without hurting him. Right now he's asleep on grandpa. He's a happy little cutie.

i think that prom is a lot bigger deal for girls that it is for guys. plus, senior prom sort of signals the beginning of the end of high school What? Proms are big for guys! The guys here have cooler outfits than the women.

Attachment Deleted[/quote] Oh c'mon, Temp. Just how much time (in all) did you spend in Tennessee? I lived there 3 years and I didn't have to ... just really enjoyed it - the Johnson City/Kingsport/Bristol area. I'm pretty picky, too. It was mild in the winter, beautiful in the spring and fall and just a little too hot in sumnmer. But, when the heat shimmered on the sidewalks in July, we spent weekends on a higher elevation at a resort beside a lake and took sweaters for evenings and early mornings. Wonderful contrast. There are a few more fundamentalist Christians than I'd go looking for but all I came in contact with were polite and even friendly. We belonged to a civic club that had a lodge with a billiard room and 2 great restaurants ... one with the best beef wellington I've ever tasted. They also had a 3 pool swimming area, tennis courts and a club room with real, shiny new, working slot machines. I might not enjoy all that now but I surely did at the time. Knoxville and Memphis are worth the time. Nashville's too big and busy for me but that's just personal taste. My suggestion - go back when you can and have another look. Apparently, you missed some things. p.s. Kentucky is a nice state, too. Very little "hillbilly" to be found unless you like that kind of thing and then I'd suggest the Renfro Valley which has a bounty of Blue Grass music.

Oh c'mon, Temp. Just how much time (in all) did you spend in Tennessee? Three days. Nice little holiday within a holiday. Very restful, up in the mountains, even if Dollywood was only seven miles or so away ACF. You write as if I've implied contempt and also quote a part of the post that has nowt to do with the Smoky Mountains National Park as the NCM is in Kentucky (I'd have thought you'd have known that! ). As such, here's an imprint of the t-shirt in question just for clarification, which I still have, still wear and which is still very comfortable:- Perhaps you misunderstood my reference as sarcasm and not the literal statement I indicated it was? Literally...! I mean, it's not like I'd get to hear a rustling noise, look over the edge of the balcony and see a bear foraging around, is it? An actual bear!! A rare bear, too! Bloody brilliant!

Balcony? Did you stay in Gatlinburg? Really? Don't tell me ... Rocky Waters Inn? That's the one I absolutely know has balconys over green space and a rippling streams. You made a good call on Dollywood. Forgive me if I sounded grouchy. I'm tired and do have a tendency to be a little protective of Tennessee and KY as they sometimes get less respect than they deserve. I do know about the NCM - 20 miles or so from my front door - but I can ignore it and I do. Since my surrounding metro area is predominately RCC, it isn't in my face at least.

M'yes but I'm still trying to work out how I could've been construed as attacking either...!!! I misunderstood the pic of the bear as suggesting it was wild, wilderness. Sorry, Temp. Then, I threw KY in for the helluvit, as the 2 states are often lumped together. Sorry, Temp. Very nice cabin, btw. I'll bet you had a great 3 days.

The bear was wild and it was reasonably wilderness-like. Certainly a far cry from the concrete jungle and never-ending urban sprawl of the greater Chicago area, of which I am also familiar. In any case, you have to do a Harpic and squirm a bit more because I've made it more than clear over time that I like my wide open natural spaces with plenty of trees (although I draw the line at all the bloody snakes! You can keep them!). Most recent reference made with photo of me all cosy in the proper gear whilst chums not in photo wished they'd listened to the pedantic fat git apparently not stating the bleeding obvious after all.
