the chap has been so we have a new temp regulator installed from the heating boiler.. the one we had having died a death......admit to being some what astounded at the cost...but at least we now have control over the heating and no longer have to mess around manually every time its either too hot or too cold or make sure the heatings on before any one can have a shower or wash up...these control units get smaller and smaller and virtually sing and dance
so am visibly blanching at how much the washer door repair will cost....and still favour cutting losses and getting a new one...we shall see tomorrow when I go into town and chat to our white goods chap[we always buy from the same family run business who not only come and install but also get rid of old washers/fridges etc

Just approaching the anchorage off Le Havre here. It's blowing like gangbusters at present - fortunately off the land, so there's no big seas running. Will not be berthing before Thursday afternoon.

Pull up your collar and pull down your cap. Soon, you'll be sailing into spring. Waiting for spring

Good afternoon on this warm Wednesday. Busy morning, fuel, grog shop and food. It is amazing how the time flies. This evening a date with hubby so looking forward to just the two of us at a Thai Restaurant. Hope your day is as nice.

Maggie my daffs in the garden are about three inches of green showing and no where near flowering yet...but some my granddaughter gave me in a pot are just about to flower as are a small pot of hyacinths...
after yesterdays two attempts at snow ..when I went to my friend and neighbours last evening the snow had frozen and was rather slippy............ today is windy dark and dreary but no trace of snow is left except on the top of the hills..which will match the mood ....the forcast is for more of the same and sadly we have our friend and neighbours funeral to go to....its not going to be a good day on any level

That sounds like a good day, Toetapping. My husband works and has a college class, while I go to college and we both keep up the house and take care of our toddler. When we have time to have dinner together, I think of it as a date. lol

A very windy and wet night here off Le Havre. Thank goodness it was off the land. Looking at pictures of the South Coast of England, it would not have been nice in the English Channel.
Supposed to be berthing this afternoon, but we will see. Lots of vessels waiting to berth - depends who gets priority for the lock.
