Well, I know you aren't now. lol But, you were little more than a kid then, and experiences like that are from whence comes wisdom.

Ah, it appears that there's been some tabloid fudging and agenda-chasing going on. Apparently, he wasn't compensated for resigning to escape the ribbing but because his management didn't deal with his complaint about the ribbing effectively. Nonetheless, he got £430,000 for being a complete arse It's emerged that smashing peoples windows in is standard procedure so they can seize the keys to stop you driving off. Apparently, trying to open the door is considered too risky. Scaring the poo out of geriatrics, damaging their property and showering them in hundreds of shards of glass is much safer. Mind you, some of the gobby "yoof" scroats that you see on the fly-on-the-wall police programmes on Dave and Channel 5 deserve "robust" treatment to teach them some manners if nothing else.

Old Bill: More Criminals Than Cops?........... This criminal behaviour by a criminal Greater Manchester Police force must be stopped. This action must not only be sanctioned by senior officers but ordered by them.
PRESS STATEMENT
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE GMP accused of 'Political Policing' over aggressive tactics
This morning "Greater Manchester Police" entered the protection camp at Barton Moss Lane and began to violently and aggressively coral peaceful protesters, pushing and shoving several of them to the floor. Several eyewitnesses report that one female protester was gripped so hard around the neck by a policeman that she was rendered unconscious. The police proceeded to search from the unconscious women's pockets before any medical assistance was sought. Although hospitalised, the protector's injuries are not thought to be life threatening, it is understood she is seeking legal advice, and has requested that eyewitnesses report her assault to Greater Manchester Police's Swinton station.
Solicitor Simon Pook (of Robert Lizars Solicitors) was present on the Barton Moss Lane visiting a client today. He made the following statement:
"What I have witnessed today at Barton Moss has confirmed my greatest fear. A fear the Greater Manchester Police appear to have discarded the European Convention of Human Rights in to the gutter, and replaced it with political policing re-enforced with overt aggression. My experience there today caused me to be concerned for my own safety, based on my observations and interactions of Greater Manchester Police. I am firmly of the view that what took place today appears to be political policing in favour of a corporate agenda. I call on GMP and the Police and crime commissioner to tell the public why?"
The protesters have signalled their intention to remain until the iGas operation at Barton Moss stops.

reminds me more of the country side protest,,when the police behaved outrageously toward peaceful and unarmed protesters for no other reason than they could...it was at that point that I and many others lost any respect for the police further more I hold them in absolute contempt for when they ran away backwards in the face of a muslim mob and still didn't react when a bullit was fired by the mob...nor was any one ever held to account for their disgusting cowerdice.....it was that behaviour which gave the muslims an inflated idea of what they could and couldn't get away with...and we have suffered from that ever since individual police can be taken as individuals but the force as an entity are political pawns and not to be trusted one inch....they are NOT on the side of the people but are political puppets
