Looks like a nice walkway, Chris. How many miles would you get in by the time you were ready to leave. I've only been to SF once and then for just 3 days. I'd like to go back, next time for a week, with an itinerary planned out in advance. wouldn't get many miles as everything is so close to each other......you need at least a week in SF to really see everything and if you're into shopping outlets, we have a ton of them here where I live and only 52 mile drive. We have outlet malls here, too, so that would be a maybe. But, since this would be a trip with my sister-in-law, I have to think it would be a possibility. Don't see it happening until fall ... maybe even winter, soonest. What's more, my expenses would have to be very low because I've entered a saving mode for the foreseeable future.

envy you your walk cheff not supposed to be here..but todays activities were postponed and am now going to the docs this afternoon instead of this morning a nasty wilflife bite my arm is swelling up and a red line appearing from the bite by the green fly... am still amazed gren fly bite/sting or what ever...little brutes another beautiful day..with blue blue sky..who could ask for more
when it comes to shopping I do prefer individually owned shop...malls just seem all the same where ever one goes..same names same goods..plus I find them a little over large..but that's probably an age thing

Morning all
Safely home, after a wonderful week in Turkey. Now to unpack, wash for England (as the saying goes), put the bags away & then sort out photos & vids... and yesterday cleared another one off the bucket list - I went parasailing. WOW!!!

glad you've had a good time and a relax Mark never been parasailing''it looks fun...and its a pity bungy jumping has come into being too late for me..i would have enjoyed those things a few years ago...they do parra gliding fairly near where I am...ah well...perhaps in another life

We had a horrible storm here and my household lost power till early this morning. We broke a record rainfall.

Wow, Sugi. Sympathies. On the up side, I hope at least it cooled things off. I overslept. Not sure why my alarm didn't go off. Sometimes there will be a slight power surge that causes pre-set things to reset them selves. Thinking that was the problem. Had to rush to keep an appointment and just got home. No food yet today but there's chicken salad in the fridge so that's my next stop. If you haven't picked up the new issue of Vanity Fair, I recommend it. Kerry Washington on the cover, lots of good articles and random information.

We have another very hot day, today. No cooking and heating up the house. We made cold sandwiches for lunch and plan to go out for dinner, later.
Mark, I hope you have a nice summer.

Enjoy your dinner out, Jessie. I'm having cold melon and deep fried shrimp. Maybe some kind of hot bread, too. Too hot but better than freezing winter, after all.

Beth it didn't cool things off and more thunderstorms are expected overnight.
This was Toronto's GO Transit on Tuesday night:

okay...so who nicked the sun? ? Still roasting us down in the south-west. On the plus side it brings in the grockles to spend money. On the down side most of them are chavvy inner city types who can't afford to go abroad who bring their equally chavvy teenagers with them. And I still end up a big sweaty mess even though my house is relatively cool and I'm strutting about the place in no more than my boxers (a vision to behold, I can tell you! ).

tell me about it..i live where they decend in numbers..leaving their litter behind but weather wise it is indeed very hot but cloudy
am now about to go and deck mesen out as going to a preview of son2s exhibitionthat his gallery are putting on[not his gallery..the gallery that sells his paintings]..so have to troll down to the city in this hot weather and make polite small talk over wine and nibbles on a late afternoon evening I would much rather spend sitting in the garden with a cuppa tea some of the types are such pretentious arty farty types I really do find it difficult to keep quiet ...but hey the things we do for our sprogs
