Well...the previous owners of the house came by.....guess I passed inspection. Had a good time visiting.
Went to the store and then the pet store.........saw a one year old English Bulldog......hubby was just in love........he is practically foaming at the mouth to get Bella. Already shown all the neighbors and everyone at his work her pictures! Going to be a long month!!!!
Hope all of you are having a wonderful weekend.
I have to report for jury duty tomorrow....ugh......they will make me sit there all day.....and then not pick me. Oh well....I'll take something to read!!

Can you be on a jury with your husband working for LE?

Not really.......if it is a civil case....his office would have served it.........so then I would have to be put on some other type....and then I will probably know someone or know something about the case anyway.......but they make me sit there most of the day anyway. Several years ago they put my hubby on a case.....didn't think they would do that.........so who knows?

You have a great talent for being objective and fair, yet attentive to detail. (Don't worry, I won't email and tell them that. )

Don't you dare!!!! Besides....the case my hubby sat on.....he ended up being jury foreman....they convicted the guy....he went out screaming he wouldn't spend a night in jail and killed himself that night.......maybe if I tell that story loudly several times....they won't pick me!!!

well yesterday didn't live up to its promise and we had a hazy day but very pleasant and most of it was spent in the garden which is now looking very neat and tidy in parts...a friend came round to look at the babies[plants] I have been nurturing for her..but its too cold yet to lift them so she will have to wait a little longer before she gets them...the ponds and birdbaths are still frozen solid and still we don't have that soft all over green on the trees...but we are getting there and spring must eventually happen...talk about the frozen north today its bitter again with a nasty wind and all over grey..eeeghghghghghgh

Well....it was for Grand Jury duty......took all morning but they seated it before they ever got to me.....so I'm home free. Don't think they would have picked me anyway since I would have known about most of the cases before they did.

the winds are up to 25-30mph today but they feel good and the sun is shining as usual.
going to make boston baked beans from scratch.......I love to put vinegar on my beans, does anyone else do that?
whoops, just did a Jumbo and burped with window open lol
Sadie, I have to report for jury duty on 6/10.....haven't been to jury duty since the middle seventies and figured the bum was guilty and watched a spider on the window of the courtroom
I'm not sure with Jeff in my life if I would make a good jury pick or not......

I sat on a Grand Jury a few years ago, Sadie. It was an interesting case and the DA brought forth enough evidence to warrant a trial. It wasn't so bad and the time went by quickly. It was no fun sitting on the hard row of seats, so after the first day, I brought a cushion and back rest (along with several others) and it became easier to pay close attention. No vinegar, Chris, but I do sqeeze the juice of half a lemon in to lighten the taste. Worcestershire sauce works pretty well, too and, of course, there's vinegar in that. I prefer bacon to ham.

i thought it would have been interesting but the cases would have come out of my husband's work......so I probably would have known about the crime/or potential crime before the District Attorney did........so I probably have too much information......
Been a long day.......definitely a Monday.....hope everyone else had a great day.
