I love romantic songs and I'll be posting some more up to date ones but here are some beautiful ones from the 50s and 60s to start off this new thread
Ella Fitzgerald, Every Time We Say Goodbye
Matt Monro, Portrait of My Love
Nat King Cole, When I Fall in Love
Eartha Kitt, Where is My Man

I was one of those young adults who shuddered away from Captain and Tennille and Debbie Boone and some of the tacky disco tunes, but a few romantic songs are good music - especially if presented by great artists.
Here are 3. Maybe I'll think of more later.

Lin, I don't know whether you know this one. It was first introduced on Family Ties, a mid 80s sitcom with Michael J. Fox and took off for a second run on the top 100. Do take a look at the history. It's interesting, and the song is very nice ... especially the sax. I think Billy V. gets a little carried away with the angst but that was part of the act. WikiThis is a Rhino Records production. There was a time when their music on YT didn't send outside the U. S. so tell me if you can't pick it up and I'll try again. Enjoy.

Dire Straits, Romeo and Juliet
The Human League - Don't You Want Me
Wreckless Eric, Veronica

Iv'e been to see this band 3 times, the first time in 1980, at the beginning of their career. Most know their tracks, but this one is hardly known, and errs on the Romantic side.
