For some reason, over the past few days, I find I'm not able to log off the system. Last night, I logged off and got the message I needed to log in .. yet when I checked back, I was still here (ghosting). I repeated this several times .. even rebooted my computer but here i am ... still logged on. <sigh>
Is it Pro Boards or is it me?
Is anyone else having this problem?

What you can try is browser A and browser B, say Google Chrome and IE. Try logging off in A and login on B and vice versa. You could also try clearing out the cookies in the browser that you normally use.

Thanks

Right now, I'm using Chrome for this site and IE for everything else as I try to get used to Chrome - slowly because IE is sooo much easier for me. Faster too because I don't even have to think about it.
It has to do with the multi-browsers vs tabs, I think, and is no reflection on the browser but just my own preferences.
IE barely recognizes this site anymore. No idea how that could have happened.

I used to use IE, but the newer version is a slow, pain-in-the-butt! I use Chrome and I love it! With having the Chrome browser, I have three ways I can play Angry Birds!

Beez. Can't disagree with that. Angry Birds is one definite advantage.

ProBoards seem to be experiencing a lot of problems this morning. Most of them started yesterday evening and more have accumulated this morning ... all seem to involve a white screen that drops down when one tries to post, send or log on.
I've spent the past half hour in PB Support area, explaining the issues. When I got there, I counted 32 reports of the white screen problem already lodged. Undoubtedly this is all coming from the same bug ... probably the same server.
Fingers crossed they solve it soon.

I don't touch IE on my own computer - I was using Chrome, as FF was getting 'bloated', but am trying to avoid using any Google products now unless I have to - I don't like their 'snooping' Back to FF here (Although if using ship's terminals I have to use IE, albeit an older version)

I always see it as Google Chrome. Is this the same one?

I think the problem all had to do with a couple of PB servers.
Looks like they're Ok now. I'm sorry . It does happen from time to time ,,, glad it was solved, of course.
I prefer IE to Chrome but neither could help much with this kind of thing.
Agree, Mark., Google will eventually rule the world. Intrusive to the max. My MIL occasionally uses my computer. One day she did a search to find information about a personal product. As a result, Google flashed related advertising at me for weeks. Serious hard sell.
grrrrrrrrrrr
