It's the 38th anniversary of Exile on Main Street and the Stones are re-releasing the album with added goodies. NPR talks about it and asks other musicians which tracks they love most. Great article - too complex to repost, but it's a must read. Songs We Love: The Rolling Stones' 'Exile On Main Street' Musicians Share The 'Exile' Songs That Influenced Them Most The 38th anniversary of The Rolling Stones' classic album Exile on Main Street provides as good an excuse as any for a reissue with unreleased outtakes, remastered originals and alternate versions. Of course, it also provides a fine excuse for NPR Music's staff to 1) listen to the album; and 2) ask some musicians we admire to pick their favorite songs and expound on the many ways Exile on Main Street has influenced them. www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=126743273

My favorite from Exile on Main Street is Shine a Light and my least favorite is Happy. Between the two are several very good songs.

I always had a soft spot for Tumbling Dice.
I'm a bit suspicious of this re-release.... They're not short of cash, after all.

I just think 38 is a strange number. 40 I can understand, but 38....?
