Maybe the best cynical recognition that the only real successful revolution is to stop trying to change everybody else to suit yourself, instead concentrate on building what you and your mates want and leave the rest to stew in its own juice

Masters of War by Bob Dylan is a very good political song:
Come you masters of war You that build the big guns You that build the death planes You that build all the bombs You that hide behind walls You that hide behind desks I just want you to know I can see through your masks.
You that never done nothin' But build to destroy You play with my world Like it's your little toy You put a gun in my hand And you hide from my eyes And you turn and run farther When the fast bullets fly.

As Scotland is in the news, I thought this song would be a good choice for a political song. Words by Robert Burns.
Fareweel to a' our Scottish fame, Fareweel our ancient glory; Fareweel ev'n to the Scottish name, Sae fam'd in martial story. Now Sark rins over Solway sands, An' Tweed rins to the ocean, To mark where England's province stands- Such a parcel of rogues in a nation!
What force or guile could not subdue, Thro' many warlike ages, Is wrought now by a coward few, For hireling traitor's wages. The English steel we could disdain, Secure in valour's station; But English gold has been our bane- Such a parcel of rogues in a nation!
O would, ere I had seen the day That Treason thus could sell us, My auld grey head had lien in clay, Wi' Bruce and loyal Wallace! But pith and power, till my last hour, I'll mak this declaration; We're bought and sold for English gold- Such a parcel of rogues in a nation!

I always said that should be Jersey's National Anthem sell-out to England. There is so much that this man said that I'm surprized he has not come up yet. This is maybe one of his lesser known offerings. He's still alive too!

This is musical propaganda on behalf of the Naxalite terrorists in India (they're atheists and disciples of Chairman Mao)

Cheating a bit. Do you know just how many nations have used God save the King to their anthems? It still is for Liechtenstein, and of course America the Beautiful, was for Switzerland until 1980 or something, the Second German Reich and before it the Kingdom of Prussia and at some time seems to have been used in the Russian Empire as well. I guess, getting there first, the idea was that a National Anthem had to have that melody.
However, these are French Revolutionary songs. I can't find English subtitles. ça ira - shades of Kurt Vonnegut, So it goes (will go).

For the short time that slavery was abolished before Napoleon I re-instated it
More popular with Napoleon I than La Marseillaise
The less said about this the better

sad lyrics told in the first person. an abrupt ending because the young woman blows herself up - she is the bomb.
from wiki:[Brian Eno's] ""Bonebomb" was inspired by a newspaper story about a Palestinian girl who becomes a suicide bomber. The title refers to a point made by an Israeli doctor that when a suicide bomber detonates, his/her bones are converted into small pieces of shrapnel which are part of the destructive power of the bomb."
