ABSTRACT
Hydroxychloroquine is an immunomodulatory drug that has been used for 60 years to treat malaria and autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus and inflammatory arthritis, and potential new uses and benefits continue to emerge.

Can it be used to treat Covid-19?
It's unclear.

You have to forego the biased - Trump says [x], so [x] is obviously false... - press and look for yourself. Firstly, is there any precedent for a drug to come good a second time? Drugs are normally created with a specific use or target in mind. And at huge expense.
The most obvious examples are, Viagra (Angina) and Thalidomide (Pregnancy - morning sickness etc).
Viagra is a failed treatment for angina that quite accidentally became a billion-dollar erectile dysfunction blockbuster, and the world’s most famous blue pill. Who saw that coming?
The MSM didn't. Just as well the likes of Trump and Biden weren't in office at the time. Who needs petty distractions? The media.
And yes, if you have heart disease you can still take it.
We all know what Thalidomide did to the offspring of those pregnant women, I'm glad my mother never took it and that I was born at home before the true medicalisation of an entirely natural process took hold. What do women know, anyway?
And now 60 years later?
Thalidomide is a type of targeted cancer drug (biological therapy). It is also known as Thalidomide Celgene. You might have it as a treatment for myeloma.
You might have thalidomide on its own or with other cancer drugs.

Now had Trump said Thalidomide was good, we all know what the media etc would say. He's mad etc etc etc.
So don't listen to Trump and don't listen to the media.
Do your own thinking.
