Well, that little cold snap didn't last long. The temperature is already climbing back into the 40s and the forecast for this time next week is the 50s F. We got daughter a nice sled for Xmas and it's still standing on the back porch, never used. Look on the bright side I guess. No snow or ice to shovel.

Less cold today but a 2 day flu bug making the rounds. My husband was in bed all day yesterday and for part of the day today because of it. We called the Dr. and he said "rest and lots of liquid and it will pass". I expect it will be my turn next. I understand the schools have low attendance because so many are out sick.

foggy again but not as thick as yesterday....inconsequence every where is dull.... I can walk a few steps using two sticks...and expect to do more steps each day... until I can safely use the stairs....we are thinking we might be better buying a bungalow... but that begs the question of where...its just a thought at the moment

Try not to be out in crowds til it's run its course, Jessie. These things don't usually last over a couple of weeks.
You're doin great, mouse. Hang in there and seriously think about a one level house. A 3 bedroom would give you room to move around and still keep you safer.
Moderate temps today. The cold snap didn't last long.

I see the flue like virus which started and is spreading in China.. is also hiting Europe.. but slightly less fast...….. it is now thought an almost certainty that the plague//black death call it what you will started first in China all those centuries ago.... cold and grey again.. not raining...perpetual gloom makes every thing dreary
seems like Brexit is going to happen after all the the years its almost impossible to grasp that we will be getting out … 40 yrs I have wanted to leave what we never ever joined up to... and the referendum.. I didn't think had a chance of a majority.. and nearly 4 pretty biter years later....here we are.....there are those who will not axcept including some in the eu...and the divide in the country will last but then any sort of big issue always leaves one side with a nasty taste...….I fully expect there to be bumps and snags along the way..but they will be our own bumps.. as we go alomg………..but I still do not trust those in the eu they will still throw spanners when ever they can

cold dampand grey again
seems I am right to be cautious...yesterday Verhofstat was ging a speech in which he was saying thar the eu had the means to stop us leaving… if the MEPs refused to sighn off the with drawl papers... it almost unbelievable that at this stage any one would be so foolish.....doesn't the man understand how much more hate he would generate....and who in their right mind would even think of such a thing... we are not a conqured or captive people ...but it does show a very disturbing mindset deep in the heart of the eu establishment...….

Sunday morning and all is peaceful...so far I haven't looked at the papers nor switched on my radio for the news.....don't really want to know about the stupid Chinese eating bats an or snakes thus spreading a virus..... but what a government the Chinese are.. look beyond the politics and look at what they are doing in isolating populations ,,,cut off millions of people just in an afternoon.. and then giving the builders one week to build a 1,000 beded hospital... dunno if you saw the photos of the diggers and earth shifter all set and ready to go.. hundreds of them.....such organisation... we cannot pot holes in the road fixed never mindbuild a hospital in a week
the weather is all grey again.. and it cannot make its mind up whether its cold really cold or not ar all cold

Off to brunch with family members and friends. The restaurant is a little out of the way but serves up a great buffet brunch on Sundays with plentiful Mimosas .. no more than one or two but very enjoyable. 8-)
Temps in the 40s F. with sun and birds flying around... typical from spring or fall, a little unusual for winter in these parts.
Hope the week is as pleasant.

w0weeee we have blue sky and sunshine.. with few white clouds......forcast is to get colder and snow.... ..think I shall wait until it happens though.. as every forcast has been wrong for us[happily]but it does get irritating when one takes all the precaustions for things that don't happen...….time after time.... it becomes like the boy who cried wolf...…… and you can bet the one time precaustions are not taken disaster will strike …

I'm just starting to come off a flu bug (not the Chinese kind) that has been making the rounds here. In the fall when we got our flu shot, the Dr. told us it wouldn't protest us against everything because of different strains that would be going around. Ours was not a stomach bug but more like a very bad head cold and feeling weak with not much appitite. Better now but sitll might not be here as much for a couple more days.

woke morning to snow....however its mot laying at the moment,, which is good.. as the o ly way out of here is by three steep downward hills and one even more steep upward climb.... actually there are actually only two roads which meet in the center make a cross road one of the farm lads used to wait at the bottom of one hill and tow cars up snowy weather with his fathers tractors......and one memorable winter my husband lost two cars in one morning in snow drifts....he had a really importany meeting to get too but just as well he didn't manage to get anywhere as that winter were were snowed up for several days
