Sunny and chilly. This is the weather we usually have just before Thanksgiving. I hope it doesn't mean we're going to have a late spring.
Daughter came by last night and brought us one of the lovely, tender, tasty Cosco chickens, so that takes care of the main meal today. Thawing a key lime pie for dessert. We'll see what the day brings but I'm only planning to stay home and read or maybe watch a movie.
Have a good'un.

fine bright and cold... don't think any one is due to visit today...…. daughters gone food shopping..have asked for olives in oil and garlic as I just fancy munching on a tub of green olives rather than chocolates... and then mop up the oil with some fresh crusty bread.…. its not quite the same doing that in the middle of winter in Derbyshire as it is sitting in the hot med sun....while sitting people watching with a jug of sangria aiding digestion......but its still very tasty

I'm sorry about your back, mouse. Do you think they'll set you up to go to physical therapy to get it straightened out? Sometimes they just advise "rest" until it heals. Good luck, either way.
We have a cold winter blast on the way. I don't look forward to it.

there is nothing they can do for my back... if I was younger yes they would do all sorts of things ... so its just a question of getting through it and still on the morphine doses... but have only one more of some pretty poverful pills I have been taking twice a day... to morrow I hope to actually do a few steps... and then its just a question of doing a little more every day...… the original prognosis... was that I would be in wheel chair un able to walk by the time I was 55....so think I have been very lucky that that turned out to be false... should be up and about next week... roll on
cold and damp.... according to the weather people.... snow is on its way next week.... as they have not been very good in their forcats.. I will believe it when is see the flakes and not before

cold but dry... friends coming round later..... bringing cake as well... it looks like a good afternoon will be had.... friend with C has decided to stop all her medication…..as the pills she was taking were making her life a misery of aches and pains and general hell …. so she is opting for quality rather length of time.... plus of course the chemo and the radiology may have stopped any more from starting.....her hair is growing back well.....tiny tight little curls all over and jet black.. giving the nod to her Jewish and Celtic ancestry.....and what annoys us though is she hasn't one grey hair....even though she did before she lost it all

I've lost one of my best friends and a sister in law to cancer over the past 2 years. It's never easy. I hope for her sake she'll have hospice care. We're getting some colder weather but not cold enough for sleet or snow.

Good luck getting back on your feet, mouse. The less pain the better.
Good luck to your friend as well. I agree with Dex, hospice is probably the best choice tho none are ideal. That would be miracles that make the cancer go away.

my friend is still at home... fur the time being the chemo and the radiology seem to have worked...plus she had 3 removal ops last year.....its been quite a time really.. but apart from a few wobbles she is doing well...and doesn't need hospice just yet.......
very cold night leaving us to wake up to a frosty white world.. but the frost has now disappeared due tp the bright sunshine......blue skies too...daughter has gone a walk.. not for the day.. just for a couple of hours...she will come back all glowing and refreshed

That would be miracles that make the cancer go away. I hate cancer and the devastation it brings.... but the good news is that now in the UK.... more people survive cancer than die from it... don't know if that is world wide....my Doctor told me when I went for my biopsy a few months ago...given how many different types of cancer there are.. I think that is splendid news

gloomy grey and rather cold outside...so daughter reports little jakey is here.. i swear he can hear sweet packets /paper rustle from miles away....i keep a tin full of sweets ..chocolate ..mints etc to hand.. and earlier i was empting a packet of mints into it... when he came belting in in the hope of goodies...... when i told him no. he looked so woe begone.. so daughter will get me some dog treets to hand out to him........mind it isnt only jakey who looks for treats....not unusual for any of them to waltz in and askor have what have you got to nibble .. or i just fancy a packet of crisps etc..... the big news today is that that an immune cell which kills most cancers has been discovered by British scientists..... by accident which not always but often the case fabulous news...not quite a cure but certainly a big step in the right direction the only reason I have posted it here is tyat at the momenti canot start new threads.. so please re post it in the science thread...… I hope we are patenting any thing which needs patenting in relation to this both now and as it all progresses....[so the big pharmas can go choke themselves] www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/immune-cell-which-kills-most-cancers-discovered-by-accident-by-british-scientists-in-major-breakthrough/ar-BBZ9jk4?ocid=spartandhp
