not raining and slightly warmer[though that's because the wind has dropped] Slightly warmer here, too. Which reminds me... Remember Easter, occurring in late April as opposed to mid March made it one of the latest. The weather changes a lot in that time. But nonetheless, they went for it. They put this out as if Easter occurs at the same time every year Temperatures reached 23.4C at both Cardiff Bute Park, Wales, and at Scotland’s Edinburgh Royal Botanic Garden, while 21C was recorded at Helen’s Bay in Northern Ireland.
These beat the temperatures of 21.6C in Brynamman, Wales, in 1984, along with 20.7C in Aboyne, Scotland, in 2015, and 19.4C in Armagh in Northern Ireland dating back to 1924, which were the warmest Easter Sundays for those countries.www.itv.com/news/2019-04-21/wales-scotland-and-n-ireland-record-warmest-easter-sunday-temperatures/In the year 1984, Easter Sunday fell on: April 22nd, this year it fell on April 21st. Odd that they are warmer? But this news didn't make as much of a splash Beaches will be empty and storms on the way as the country will near the coldest Bank Holiday Monday ever
Britain's May Bank Holiday weekend is set to end colder than Greenland as Arctic air will plummet temperatures to around -4C, with thunderstorms to follow from Wednesday.www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6994669/Will-tomorrow-coldest-Day-bank-holiday-Temperatures-set-plunge-low-6C.htmlIn South London where live - urban heat island and all that - it never got above 8C Nowhere on the BBC will you hear about this. The May day holiday is around 40 years old, and this one was the coldest of them all. But it isn't an alarming story about warming, like Easter was. What did the Guardian have to say about it? Pretty much the same as the BBC and the others - nada. Doesn't fit the narrative.

Our forecast for today is lows in the 60s F this morning, climbing into the 80s F this afternoon. Common for this time of year.
We do expect the "blackberry winter" cold snap toward the end of May - then hot until at least mid September.

Warm and sunny. Close to hot! Mothers' Day is next weekend which means we're moving into summer.

much colder... with some rain brrrrrrrrr….but warming up at weekend
Fretty…. the powers that be are nothing more than scammers trying to prove something which if looked at carefully woud show them up as liars I don't know if the Whit week processions were held when you were growing up or if it was a northen happening but I can remember sometimes being warm or even too hot and others being too cold or two windy etc, Whitsuntide like Easter is variable some times early and some times later but we know the Guardian is terribly on message for the rightons/snowflakes and limps
perhaps they have forgotton that the month of May can be very variable ,, hemnce the old saying … """Ner cast a clout till May be out"""""...when in dispute check out old sayings and history

I just put up this morning's picture of Meagan and Prince Harry's new baby.
Go to News and Current events, then to Notable People and you can find it from there.
Very sweet.

Thank you for bringing a copy of the picture over, Annie. The parents look very happy. I'm sure everyone wishes them well.
It's warm here, today. Lots of birds, very busy teaching the babies to fly.
I'm leaving on a little jaunt on Friday ... just for a few days. Hoping for good weather.

We have been out of town most of the day, today. Now, trying to catch up with the violent crimes and recent school shootings.
Horrendous!
At least Trump's tax mess has been exposed.

Well, we just got hit with a forecast for chilly weather over the next week. Not cold enough for heavy coats or snow tires, but jacket weather.
Mother's day is Sunday. The stores are pushing candy and flowers in place of more solid gifts.
