As long as they're encouraged and indulged. First the opinion of a champion female swimmer and then the new reality in [women's] sport today.
Sharron Davies: Former British swimmer says transgender athletes should not compete in women's sport
Transgender athletes should not compete in female competitions in order to "protect women's sport", says former British swimmer Sharron Davies.
Her comments come after 18-time tennis Grand Slam singles champion Martina Navratilova said it was "cheating" to allow transgender women to compete in women's sport because they had unfair physical advantages.

Cue the cries of transphobia....
Speaking to BBC Sport, Davies, 56, said she had spoken to many other female athletes who "feel the same way".
"It is not a transphobic thing - I really want to say we have no issue with people who are transgender," she said.
"Every single woman athlete I've spoken to, and I have spoken to many, all of my friends in international sports, understand and feel the same way as me.
Davies' comments came a day after she posted her opinion on Twitter. The 1980 Olympic silver medallist said: "I believe there is a fundamental difference between the binary sex you are born with and the gender you may identify as.
"To protect women's sport, those with a male sex advantage should not be able to compete in women's sport."
Transgender cyclist Rachel McKinnon said Davies was a "transphobe" and was "sharing hate speech".
"There is no debate to be had over whether trans women athletes have an unfair advantage: it's clear that they don't," she said on Twitter

Well, he/she would say that...
"It hasn't been studied, but logical science will tell you someone who has three times more testosterone has the advantage physically. We need to do more research before arguing either way.
"I don't know what the solution is, but right now it is not fair on CIS females competing against transgender women."

And just to bring home how mad it's become. 16 year old boys who have decided they're girls...
Terry and Andraya came in first and second place, respectively, in the 100-meter race at the State Open Finals on June 4. Terry also won the top prize for the 200-meter dash.
The parents at the school were not impressed and started a petition.

Can you spot the [physical] differences? Note the male muscular structure and lack of boobs etc etc.
My advice to women who feel threatened by the obvious male incursion into female sports is, don't let them close down any debate with the phony transphobia card.
Anyone who believes that a trans woman has no advantage over a natural woman is delusional. And that's where we are, waving aside logic and facts to suit a demented belief.
