Is anybody else having trouble igetting the theme background to show up? Mine's gone white and I can't get it to correct. It's all cleared up now. Nice to be back! 8-) Feel fortunate your computer is better. Mine started going off the rails yesterday and is still a bumpy ride (strap in). No guarantees when it will be fixed.

I'm not sure it's your computer, Beth. It could be the forumn Maybe it's coincidence, but I had to try 3 times to get the margins to hold when I first logged on. Maybe a temporary glitch, maybe not.

Bright sun and blue skies but I prefer warmer. Ligh show on the ground. One of my grand-daughters works for the government so she got a "food item" to help with the shut down. She chose an Amish turkey, something I've never tried before. After dinner, she's going to bring me a small slice so I can taste it. Could be a wonderful advertisement for the Amish if it catches on.

I see Amish furniture advertized, we are looking for a china cabinet but have not seen the ephemeral creation my Wife wants.

very bright this morning.... makes a nice change
Idris[ the puppy]is causing absolute havoc...they were going a walk when they came to a muddy puddle Mischa easily jumped across... idris sat down in the middle of it yesterday he got into their kitchen where he saw an apron and decided to fight the said apron lots of squeeks and attempts at growling and lots of jumping about … in the end the apron accepted defeat and was carried off proudly as a spoil of war he also got into the wardrobe and carried off one of a pair of DIL shoes and fought that into submission …. needless to say dil and son absolutely dote as does mishy… just as well really

""Could be a wonderful advertisement for the Amish if it catches on.""
The Amish would never know anything about it though, they eschew TV, Radio and the Media in general, I cannot say I blame them, the continual barrage of adverts on US TV is soul destroying. Thank heavens for streaming !!

Thank heavens for streaming !! In regard to the commercials, I do agree, but the Amish are a little over the top in other directions. I used to have a friend who hired 2 Amish girls to look after her children. It went well until one day she served them tuna salad (made from canned tuna)i for lunch. Their father took them home, beat them several whacks for eating the commercially canned food and, aside from letting them come back to pick up some belongings, never allowed them to darken my friends door again. They do make nice furniture but the turkey I tried was not very good at all.
