We had to go to New York so my better half could renew her Passport, what a Dump !! so much poverty and begging ! I shall not be going there again ! We were ripped off by the Hilton, advertized one price and charged us another price, added on, "service charges", (I put them on a Blacklist I have access to from previous work). My Wife is Dutch and a Harmless Pensioner like me but they still took 3 Fingerprint readings for each finger on both hands, what a rigmarole and unfriendly too they were! The Dutch have special requirements for Passport Photographs as well, normal photos are no good and we were promised uniformity amongst member countries when they started the Common Market and EU !!

On our block our house is the only one with the walks cleaned. Driving in town is interesting in that, while the snow is basically cleaned from most streets, snow patches have hardened on to the surfacw and makes driving like driving through holes. It is cold enough that any animals laugh it is usually a death sentence. Even so, some strange people show up. As with today at a store a young man was walking across the parking lot dressed in a t-shirt and shorts, I must admit that this is an attitude I do not understand.

Our low today was in the teens but the high was not much better. Cold with wind and with some icy patches. My wife and sister and I went to the grocery store and got provisions for making beef stew and a big fruit salad. There was so much we invited our neighbors over with plenty to spare.
This has been a winter without much snow, here, but it's been colder than usual.

I wonder what happened to dressing for the season...

It will be interesting to see if our seasons are earlier than usual this time around. We are supposed to get up into the high 50s F, today.

We had a light dusting of snow but as usual the really heavy stuff passed us by then hit Providence then went on to give Boston a good belting. It seems that God makes sure Democrats get their fair share of snow !!

another horrid morning....seems we are to be on the receiving end of blood rain.... so called when sands from the Sahara get into the weather systems it leaves every where covered in a fine red dust and happens now and then whether its rain or dry ….still its never as bad as being in a real dust storm as happens in the countries nearer the Sahara when it can feel as if ones skin is being flayed and your trying to breath through cotton wool

Well then, has March come in like a lamb or a lion? We had an hours long ice storm last night but today the temperatures are soaring into the high 40s F.
