stupid man.. of course the church will be judged over the sex crimes issues...and its not about judging by todays standards is it...
I cannot think of any time in the history of Christianity where its been acceptable to sexually abuse children....
theres a very good criteria for judging sexual abuse.. and that is was it done secretly was it a hidden crime because if it was done well away from societies eyes then those involved knew it was unacceptable
.. and that goes for the 1st... 10th and 21st centuries
rape and child molestation has never been done with the knowledge and agreement of the commuity at large..
in the past as it is today rape often attened the losing of a battle or war...that is some thing every one was/is aware of
but apart from that one instance I cannot think of any other time where rape and sexual abuse of children is allowable let alone excusable ...

and which actual facts are you basing that on Kronks
bring forth your proof... but you cannot do so because the church was not the first institution to address the problem... and half of the problem s of the church to day is because the problems have not been addressed.. its been denial after denial.. the situation ignored.. pushed under the carpet..and the churches population are aware it hasn't been addressed just covered up
from Cardinals to priests and nuns the abuses have ocoured and festered and now is the day of recokning and there is still denial.. still attempts to cover up
