oh dear... no one is responsible for what you mother did or did not teach you... and to be fair things were some what igored back them how ever you will find very few girls who do not know about sex in the UK at the age of 15......and by 15 they will be very aware of their bodies and understand what sex is even if only in theory ..they will know enough to say yes or no when the time comes after all you don't have to know how to bake a cake ... but it doesn't stop you enjoying a slice No doubt, but saying yes or no even if you are feeling something, is not the only issue here, that is not the full ramification of what consent is all about. It is about whether you could become pregnant and what you would be prepared to do or able to do, should that happen. You would need to be an adult to commit to what it would entail and knowing the full ramifications of the situation into the future. A child of fifteen is not qualified to think that deep and anything could transpire as a result. Leave it at eighteen. sl wrote """that is not the full ramification of what consent is all about. It is about whether you could become pregnant and what you would be prepared to do or able to do, should that happen."" if the age of consent is lowered then obviously you see to it that your girl children are fully aware of all raminfication via full sex education and full sex education for boys too.. you prepare people for exams so why not prepare young people for life.. it is firstly the responsibility of the parents and secondly the scools to inform our young people about sex and the responsibilities that go along with it sex education... I took it as a given that it didn't need saying... that sex education of all areas would be addressed.. health.. social .. responsibilities..and pregnencies plus just because the age of consent is lower it doesn't mean any girl has to have sex.. its still personal choice ... lowering the age of consent does not make sexual activity an obligation

The perpetrators were acquitted of rape, how did that happen? Even 15 is too young in my estimation. The age of consent should stay at eighteen. They are encouraging paedophiles for sure.!!! paedos like them younger than 15 so paedophiles are not being encouraged So you think for everyone, do you? IMO a15 yr old is still considered to be a child.

It wasn't until I was married that I really knew what sex was all about. Before that I had no inkling, even though we were told about the birds and the bees when at school. There is a difference.!!!
