another dreary miserable day with with a wind which seems to be increasing on volume
I see that its finally admitted Mugabe is gone along with his wife the much hate Grace so far they appear to be still alive along with other membeers of the family ,.,. it seems he wanted to pass power on the Grace.. keep in the family so what happens now.. will the next one be worse than Mugabe.. or will the Zimbawes get a decent government and startn back on the road to universal prosperity...and once again become a bread basket of Africa any way for the moments its great rejoicings on the streets.. we shall have to see if a blood bath ensues .. best wishes to them all for improved lives..

We have had a lovely day and are now invited to go out and about with friends to visit the stores that have started their Black Friday early.
We are considering. I told them we would call them by 6 p.m. which is a half hour away.
Do we want to go out in the cold and brave the crowds, or do we want to find a good movie to watch?
What would you do?

I might have if the weather had been warm and dry. We had sprinkles and cold wind so my answer is - I stayed home.

We DID go and actually had a great 2 hours in the midst of it all. I was able to find 2 gifts at very affordable prices. There were 6 of us who went together. Afterward, we met up at the home of a dear friend whose husband died this past year, and who spent her Thanksgiving alone. She prepared mugs of coffee with a wonderful pumpkin spice creamer. We stayed over an hour, talking and sipping. I was reluctant to go but am glad I did. Yes, Beth, I have had my flu shot.

I'm glad you had fun, Jessie. It sounds like you didn't try to push into the big crowds. That was a smart move on your part.
My brother and my mom went to find a good price on a new TV. They were successful, but they had to stand in line a long time and came back exhausted.
It's been mild and sunny today in the low 50s F. Daughter and I made cookies and she took some when she went to her friends house for a play date.
We had delicious turkey with all the trimmings, yesterday. Only one turkey-day a year, so I hope all enjoyed it.

We went out for a little while today. The crowds were at the malls and the stores like Wal-Mart and Macy's, and Target.
The weather has been nice all day but getting nippy now.
Good Weekend to all!

We had a frost last night. The field behind my house was white and the sun is just now burning it off. The last lazy day of the 4 day weekend and we're thinking about taking in a movie while the grandparents visit with the kids. We'll see either Thor: Ragnarok or Justice League.

Here's a shock. It's been in the high 60s F here today. What my dad calls "pneumonia weather". Other people call it Indian Summer.
I had to work so it was just another day for me.
Looking forward to the weekend.
