I hope you got the sunshine you wanted, mouse.
It's down right chilly here tonight with temps in the low 60s. This weekend will be the time a lot of Halloween decorations will go up on houses and front lawns.

It is hot (in the 80s F) here today, mouse. The weather forecasters keep promising us a cooler trend but after a day, it goes right back to HOT. I knew we were in for a hot weekend when I needed to get up and turn on the AC in the middle of the night, last night.
Still wearing short sleeved, light weight clothing.
We are going to the country this afternoon for the night and part of the day tomorrow. Looking forward to it while the trees are still green and the flowers still blooming.

The end of a long, hot summer.

had a lovely afternoon and the sun came out and it was hot hot hot but earlier the light was a dirty yellow and a friend rang to tell me to look out of the window at the sun which was bright orange.. a mix of reflections according to the news of dust from the Sahara and reflection of the fires in Europe and probably the US. as well
the sun has been shining this morning still quite windy but no damage locally that we know of. although the winds do appear to be puicfking up a little I think the worst is over for most of the country.. and we here[where I am] got off very lightly and all the colours are back to normal

Hot and sunny. Northern CA is under a fire watch - some evacuations and closures of schools and businesses. Hope Chef is not in the path CA has had so many fires this year they're lucky there's anything left outside the cities. Is there anywhere in this world in which to live safely? When a fire breaks out in the spring, it makes me think of the poor birds and animals as they are rearing their young. The young die before they have had a chance to live life. So very painful in every way. Poor things.!!!

I'm not looking forward to Summer as it is still Spring and we have had temperatures nearing fire ban days, so I don't know how Summer will pan out, some days are searingly hot and too much to bear.!!!
