When you want to bother with it, tinypic.com works pretty well. I think Photo bucket owns it, but it apparently has separate management and rules. Good luck with it. Your photos are always very nice. I used to use tinypic.com but it was a bit of a pain to use I found it slow difficult to navigate and time consuming, I switch to Imgur and it is miles better, fast easy to use, you just drag and drop you images on to it, far better then selecting files individually as you had to on tinypic. I would not go back!! (not sure I can remember my login anyway lol). Tinypic are dependable except when they are not. I've never heard of that one, Kronks. I'll go take a look soon. Thanks!

Wishes for your sunshine, mouse. Wish i could send you some of ours. Since I have to work today and tomorrow, I could spare some.
Did the little dog that was visiting you finally go home?

Well I'd be surprise if you stay in tinypic, especially if you have a lot of images, it is just so so slow!! Mind you maybe tinypic resizes them as you upload, I know you can select quality which is useful. And I see you can do that so that is a good aspect, but the way you select images is laborious. Imgur lack resize, but the is a trick you can so with windows which works well, you select the image then select "mail to" and copy the resized images from a temporary folder, but that is extra work. I got told off for posting massive 7 meg images.

I know what you mean. Tinypic has it's drawbacks. OTOH, it's free.
I do not work with pics very often. I think I have a couple in the garden topic and maybe one in "pets". Besides that, I might send one occasionally by PM but otherwise it's just email and those can be attached.

To put an image on a board just double click it and select the BB board code. *and* I just found there is an auto resize option which is handy, I didn't think it had that and said so here but it has. So it has everything I need really. Some tomatoes I'm grown outdoors. [i

Actually correction, imgur does have an auto resize options (never saw it before) so it basically has all I need. Some baby Canada geese., they are not at all afraid of humans. It came out smaller than I expected. I had the wrong box ticked, ("big square") so I change it back to the original size. So that is another useful feature you can resize as you post, so...... excellent site imo, could not have done better myself. It also has some image editing labeling manipulating stuff but I've not tried that, yet.

Excellent! Now, we may need a new topic for our photography.
Beth or Fret? Is that possible?

thankyou Kronks for mentioning the imgur site.. I seem to be getting the hang of it now.. and have found all the basics.. resize..and manipulations etc etc and as you say its really is so very easy to use.. I shall look around the site at some point..... but I am really only interested in storing and moving pics around your toms are looking very healthy and in good condition.. I stopped growing them couple of years ago thanks again for the iput..
if you remember you posted a photo of a bee on a flower .. the next day the very small moth above.. slightly larger than my little finger nail landed and as camera was nearby so I took the above shot considering how near the camera was its not too bad.. not a fabulous camera.. a canon ixus just an every day instant with a few settings am some times pleased with the results I need to find out how to go direct from camera to imgur.. as at the moment I am going from computer to imgur

our county fair is sponsoring a "sensory friendly" day on 9/1 for children.
all lights and sound will be off for two hours plus the rides can be slowed down for them.
I am glad someone thought of this for the kids plus admission is only $5 for adults.
I may go myself to see the animals and experience quiet at the fair.

The bee one was on a good sunny day which really helps, the more light the better it helps get things in focus, you have more depth of field I think ie more stuff in focus even though they are at different distances, also the shutter speed can be faster so you don't have to hold the camera so steady to get a sharp picture. Mine has auto focus, problem is you do not always know what it is focusing on, however I got the camera real close so there was not much else it could focus on.
