A change of mind since you declared you didn't need to read anything? One can only hope. I'm too busy reading your nonsense!! Gosh, what a side-splitter. A career in stand-up beckons...

It's been hot and humid all day with a rain shower here and there. Supposed to be hot and sunny tomorrow. Just the usual for July until things start moving downhill to dog days. Many writers have written so eloquently about deep summer in the U.S. American south ... John Grisham, Pat Conroy, Tennessee Williams, Thomas Wolfe, Paul Simon ... Bobby Gentry, Dolly Parton .. We aren't deep south, here, and are spared the sultry heat of Alabama, Georgia, etc .. If I had to live further south, I'd choose the coast where wind and rains are more frequent and offer a little relief. I'd rather read about those summers ... sing about them .. than suffer through them. My brother and family just got back from 2 weeks at the beach in Florida. I could have gone, but the thought of driving down through Georgia and Alabama, from morning to evening .. hoping nothing demands more than a half hour stop on the way ... keeps me back here in more temperate climate with the shade and ACs of home base. Reports of 125 F in Las Vegas the other day were shocking. But, that's dry heat .. bad but not unbearable. The people who live through it and moan about it have, more than likely, never suffered through the draining humidity of the swamps and bayous of Mississippi and Louisiana. It's enticing, but once done, re-doing is for martyrs ... I see no reason to go back. >>> Makes sense to me. We're going to the beach the first week in August but keeping it closer by going to the Outer Banks.

Think I'll just hang out at home. Thunder and lightning storms here are intense and heavy .. no time to be out in traffic. Hope it all goes well tomorrow. Have as much fun as you can stand.

headed to Old Town in hopes I can see the artist working on his mural....I was planning on going yesterday after grocery store stop but didn't remember until I got home. lostcoastoutpost.com/2017/jul/10/check-out-new-mural-being-painted-old-town-eureka/redwoods.info/showrecord.asp?id=3523I had a good chat with the artist while admiring his work. I then mosied around a few blocks peering in the shop windows like a little kid....one business is all antique lighting, I love those old style lamps....1885-1945 Then I drove to the ocean but there were no parking spots so I went to the island and sat by the bay, but since I left my hoodie at home, it was to chilly so went home. almost forgot there was an older gentleman with a small flute playing music I would place in the medieval age of England
