Syrian doctor says he would rather go back to Aleppo than stay in 'miserable' Britain
Abdul Kader al-Zuebi says he worked as a doctor in Syria Credit:
A Syrian doctor has said he would rather go back to Aleppo than stay in Britain after living at a hostel in south London and a "miserable place" in Cardiff since arriving less than two weeks ago.
Abdul Kader al-Zuebi, 28, who has three British relatives and a British fiance, said his time in the country so far had been made unhappy by Home Office delays which he claims have made it difficult for him to find a home or gain employment.
Dr al-Zuebi, who once worked as a Syrian army medical officer, said he has a German passport but applied for asylum in Britain and has now been barred from working.

that's fine by us sunshine he has only been here two weeks ...what on earth did he expect ? it doesn't say how he arrived here though..did he come in legally or illegally ...and did he think he could just walk in and be allowed to practise medicine without any checks ? the fact he was allocated place in a hostel infers[not certain but infers] he came here illegally or as a refugee... and now he has sold his rolex to fund a hotel stay ?? if he is a refugee how does he know enough to know where to sell his watch this stinks to high heaven..some thing askew with this story... if he has three British relatives and a British fiance as he says it opens up a lot of questions where are they .. .why isn't he with them and they be held responsible for him and all his costs?
and British ? what exactly does that mean..holders of passports one assumes given the numbers coming into the country right now his expectations are some what irrational or is it the usual thing that doctors etc expect to be treated differently.. to get special treatment by virtue of being professionals regardless of proffesion..education/doctors/lawyers/ex politos etc are not peoples of importence in the UK ....hopefully those days have long gone

Goodbye then. I'm sure his skills as a doctor are needed in Aleppo.
