A total of 11,158 asylum seekers in Austria have been suspected of committing criminal offences in the first half of 2016 with a fifth of offenders of Afghan origin. The figures come as separate statistics from Switzerland have revealed that up to 90 per cent of migrants entering the country disappear after arriving at asylum centres .
