Hi Men an tol, I've always been too busy with the mundane things of life that need to be attended to. I just rarely got around to reading the newspaper or watching TV. I love working in my vegetable garden, so any spare time that I had, would be spent there.

This thread is offered only to see if people are considering these things and if so what are people's thinking about these possibilities. Hi men an tol, genetic engineering in regard to the human body, I think could possibly open up a can of worms. I don't fancy it at all. It's too much like body enhancement, and look how that has turned out. There is a good side and a bad side to everything. I'd rather leave things as they are and that is leaving things in the hands of the Law of Karma. We are given the bodies and the conditions from which we suffer in order to teach us a lesson that we need to learn. That at least gives meaning to life. I prefer to work my way back to the Godhead by receiving spiritual enlightenment as I learn each lesson that is instrumental in helping me evolve spiritually so that I can reach a stage of blissfull awareness with no worries about pain and the imperfections of the human body. What more could a person ask for? That seems like perfection to me.

Pains and sufferings which may be possibly done away with through medical research including genetic research and gene manipulation. To willing and intentionally leave people to suffering and pain, when cures might be developed, strikes me as being less than human. That is truly demeaning and dehumanizing but hey, if that is the world you want you are welcome to it. Oh yeah, keep the mystical Karma right along with it to justify such unethical and unmoral lack of concern for others..

Hi Men an tol, I would say that very few people if any? would escape pain and suffering in this physical life. Actually, pain is there to protect the body from harm, a person is going to be careful when they are handling any dangerous substance because it would harm the body and you only are aware that it is harmful when you feel pain. I also am human so have had my share of pain and suffering, I just don't dwell on it. I do feel for the suffering of others even though in actual fact they have brought it on themselves, whether you accept that fact or not. We all lay the ground for these things to happen to us by our previous actions in life, this is very clear to me, so it is useless to pooh pooh the reality of Karma. It will do it's job no matter what you believe. The sooner you come to believe that Karma does exist, the sooner you create better experiences for yourself where life is not so hazardous. We really ARE in CHARGE.!!!

At most it demonstrates a disregard for caring for others. That is what you choose for yourself and have extended such mystical wanderings to define a nonreality for others. If karma was a reality as you define it (which it isn’t) that your position of the pain and sufferings of others would be building the negative karma on yourself. However, I sure you’ll fix that by some ever changing wrinkle in the mystical world you have created.

Hi Men an tol, As long as we live in this physical world, we suffer whatever life has to offer because of our prior reaction to things that happened before. It is only when you believe that Karma exists that you can help yourself. There is an Intelligence that if asked, enlightens you by giving you answers to any problems that you may have and therefore helps you make better decisions. In the Bible it clearly says: 'seek and ye shall find' A person is given answers that will help them to know things that they don't already know. This Intelligence is aware of every thought that each of us has, our minds are primitive in comparison. If you don't want any help from this Intelligence then don't blame me for another person's suffering. I might feel for them, but I am not the cause.

the intelligence being aware of every thought and the mindset of seek and ye shall find obviously meant us to be able to resolve problems which is why it provided the mind and the abilities the human race has ...the intelligence hasn't enlightened any one...it only provided the means toward the enlightenment your THINKING SL is to me the more selfish and introverted narrow thinking that I have come across it also amuses me that you do not practice what you preach..which is rather hyporcritical

I stated quite clearly that I care about the suffering of others. But like everything else the procedures can be abused. People are causing their own suffering because of ignorance and refusal to believe that Karma exists. I'm not to blame for how other peoplle conduct their lives. Each person is responsible for their own lives. When you feel pity for a person who is suffering you try to help them in whatever way that you can. I am giving you information that could eventually change that, but you refuse to take notice, so stuff it. If you would rather let the doctors experiment with your body, not really knowing what the outcome could be, be my guest. I gave you the safest solution but you don't want to have a bar of it. I'm only trying to help. You asked me and you have my answer.

If you are not tuned in then ofcourse you won't be receiving any help. you have to do your homework.!!! I wonder where those flashes of insight come from? that some people get, that happens out of the blue? That has happened to quite a lot of people.

You are the one who is not satisfied and disparage the pain and suffering of people in the real world. You are the one making the assertion that they can only get relief from pain and suffering by accepting karma. I suspect that you do not understand what a cruel concepy that is. Accept your mystical beliefs or suffer. While the reality is that every day in the real world people's pain and suffering are taken care of without mystical beliefs.

I can't help but wonder, is telling me that I can stuff it positive or negative for your personal karma.

Hi Men an tol, Believe it or not, that is the first time I have ever said to anyone 'stuff it' I do care about people so I try to uplift people rather than knock them. Ofcourse that is not always going to be the case. You may think you are helping someone but because of having different beliefs you could be instead, only succeeding in irritating them or even confusing them if they are not strong in their beliefs. In the physical plane most of us are stuck with relying on Doctors to cure our ills, but I know from experience that there is more to healing than trusting in a physical Doctor. All through the ages, people have been cured of their ailments by seemingly miraculous happenings. How do you explain that? Whilst in this plane we can either allow ourselves to be carved up or by an apparent miracle. It's everyone's choice. I have experienced a few miracles in my life and I only needed to go to the Doctor when I was pregnant. I am still going strong and in seemingly good health, I still attend to my own needs and even dig in my vegetable garden, which I love.!!!
