Crunch talks aimed at keeping Greece in the eurozone ended in a stalemate late Saturday with hopes of a bailout deal hanging on a knife edge - as insiders say Athens was offering 'too little, too late'.
Crisis discussions are set to resume tomorrow as Greece desperately tries to convince ministers they can be trusted, after it emerged Germany has already drawn up plans for a temporary Grexit.
Indeed, Europe's top finance minister are understood to be pressing Greece to commit to a number of additional budget and reform measures on Saturday before they would consider opening negotiations on a bailout.
