Cold morning, 31 F, but plenty of sun .. so not dreary.
Looking over the news we have the ongoing good cop - bad cop debates with some random rioting during the night. Also, Mary Landrieu lost her senate seat in a run off (no big surprise) and the Philippines have been hit with a major typhoon. Fortunately, there was plenty of warning so the casualties are in the single digits instead of the thousands like last year.
Otherwise ... I'm still fighting off some kind of flu bug and if it isn't on it's way out by tomorrow ... it's off to the doctor for pills or a shot.
Hope your weekend is going to suit you.

its rained and rained..thundered and lighened and hailed right through the night at the moment the sun is shining between the last watering and looking at the clouds the next instalment of water and whatever it decides to throw at us the tops are covered in snow...but we are just below the usual winter snow line by a smidgen ...though daughter drives to work over the tops so she will certainly encounter it have to finnish off the Christmas décor some time today..but its already looking festive

Enjoy it, mouse ... all assuming it isn't going to cause you and yours problems with slick roads, etc.. We had ours week before last and I'm hoping we'll stay dry for a few days. I looked at the extended forecast last night and we're due snow on Christmas eve. Nothing unusual, we often have snow on Christmas eve.
I feel a little better today .. up to about 80%, compared with 50 or 60% yesterday. Off for a refresher nap and back later.

Snow on Christmas Eve is the best. I agree with you Chef. Fog always makes me think of those old crime movies. We have it here now and then but doubt it's as much as you do in N. CA. I made candy today and plan to make more tomorrow. Clear cold weather is the best time.

Dark and damp with more rain coming.
It's the kind of day to go back to bed except for work. There's no field work today. It's all inside.

lol Sugi! Been there. Probably still would be but discovered a trick that works. Get a little plastic spray bottle, the kind you'd use to moisten plants or ... whatever. Fill it with water and wait for kitty to approach the tree. When (s)he's ready to make the big move or reach up to knock down ornaments, give a quick spray to the face. Right in the face works best. Doesn't hurt but really annoys. Repeat as necessary. It usually works soon and well.
