December already! The year, filled with ups and downs, smiles and frowns, good and bad, this and that ... has flown. Let's all make this last month count and leave 2014 not with a whimper but with a bang!

I think there are people who enjoy Christmas so much they want to squeeze December for all they can get out of it. To me, stretching it out means pressure to work that in with everything else. No tree up here for 10 more days. My parents always put up the tree on the 23rd and took it down January 2nd. A fantastic week to remember all year. That's what I'd like to do but can't convince everybody else.

The temps on Sunday were in the 60s F but it's been much cooler today. Tonight, it dropped into the low 40s and feels cold to me. I've been working on the Christmas threads and they'll go up in a few days. it's always fun to put them up but once New Years is past (see post above) I'm ready to let them go and concentrate on Candlemas (aka Groundhog day) and then Valentines day and next Mardi Gras and St Patricks Day. Then, almost before we can blink - Easter. How lovely. Just need to survive January and February and we'll be back to my chosen destination ... spring. Off to bed. Have a good Tuesday.

Enjoy your craft day, mouse. This is a great time of year for it. My keyboard has finally sent signals that it's in need of rest and reconditioning. I'm going to go io rummage around and try to find another in a little better shape. I hadn't planned to go shopping today ... surely, there's another around somewhere that's still usable. It's mild and rainy today. Cleaning help lady is here, there's a beef roast in the crockpot and, so far, all is well. Later.

I'm okay with that as long as it doesn't send you week after week of bitter cold. It's very sunny today. My afternoon class is canceled today so my daughter and I are going to the park.
