Muslim leaders have a duty to warn their own followers about the “indescribable tragedy” of the persecution of Christians in the Middle East and around the world, the Prince of Wales has insisted. He said that faith leaders must ensure their followers respect believers in other faiths “rather than remaining silent”. His comments came in a special message recorded for the publication of a new report which concludes that Christians are the “most persecuted religious minority” in the world and that Muslim countries dominate the list of places where religious freedom is most under threat. While emphasising the importance of his own personal Christian faith, he also signalled that he saw his role as to “defend” followers of other faiths including Islam. Britain’s “future as a free society” depends on recognising the “crucial role” played by people of faith, he said. www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/prince-charles/11207456/Prince-of-Waless-plea-to-Muslims-over-Christian-persecution.html

mm..they cannot help them selves..it always has to be about them...even when the subject is not about them..in they come whinging this man Shafiq is an eeegit....isis are DELIBERATELY TARGETTING THOSE WHO ARE NOT MUSLIM AND THOSE WHO ARE NOT OF THEIR MUSLIM BRAND... the disaster that was irak was NOT targeting MUSLIMS BECAUSE THEY WERE MUSLIMS...plus the main killers in irak were yet again muslims killing muslims..via car bombs and shia sunni killing from the street right through to blowing up mosques what is wrong with these people that they take no responsibility what so ever for anything and Christians are not so much being oppressed as wantonly and deliberately wiped out
""""Mohammed Shafiq, chief executive of the Ramadhan Foundation, said: "Prince Charles is somebody who is deeply respected in the Muslim community and he is absolutely right about Christians being oppressed - but the point is when innocent Iraqis were being killed by British bombs Prince Charles was quiet silent.
"The thing that he fails to mention is that the largest number of victims killed by Isis are Muslims, I would like him to have spoken about Muslims being oppressed in a stronger way." """"

he may in your and others views an arse..but at least he has mentioned the fact that Christians are being persequted and not going down the road of our elected leaders who walk on by rather than mention the fact and it is quite true that Christians are a persequted minority in the world even in our own country people treat and speak about Christians that they would never get way with speaking about other faiths etc much of it quite unnecessary like it or not we owe in the UK a great deal to Christian ethics...the fact that times change doesn't alter that fact in the slightest
