Dunno about eradicating the act; eradicating the proponents and practitioners sounds like a way to kill too birds with one stone.

perhaps a large fine on all those whose wives/mothers/daughters didn't sika da eeengleeesh would encourage learning or no benefits for those who didn't speak English ..would concentrate minds..  ? there are ways to ensure people learnt to speak the language of the country they are in but while we are governed by wimps it wont happen an adequate knowledge of the language should be compulsory before ANYONE gets a passport...along with an understanding of the laws of the land |
