I'm shopped out. Somebody else can take over now. You got it right about daughters, Jessie.
Someone (Santa??!!!) gave my nephew a nerf blaster that shoots snowballs! He is anticipating the next big snow (possibly later today) and the rest of us are dreading it.

I'll bet mine's worse than yours Beth. Called home and my wife says it's pouring snow, really coming down. The Chicago snow storm must have come on over Indiana, too.
If it stays bad, I might not go in to work tomorrow. Can't do the outside work under these weather conditions.

Rained during the night but sunny now. In our local news - flood warning from Pulborough to Littlehampton and someone is breaking into gardens and stealing chickens

we had bright sunshine but now cloudy and grey coming in from the north and west...doesn't bode well chickens are small fry...here they slaughter whole sheep and the odd cow....this sort of thing NEVER happened a few years ago...I fell farmers may regret developing their barns which is thios slaughter and thieving continues may well be need to keep the beasts in over night..we are rapidly going back to the dark ages....not at all a soothing prospect

another day of sunshine and warm here. I've put an application in for senior housing about 275 miles north that would put me back in cooler weather and about a ten minutes drive from the ocean so am hoping to move back to that area plus it is the home of the redwoods. I watched some documentary on BBC I think, of London in medieval times and the filth people had to contend with......very enlightening and so glad I didn't live back then. I have found some good documentaries on BBC lately and Channel4 that I have been enjoying this is going to get me into trouble, but I always thought of the English as Americans with a funny accent these documentaries have been an eye opener as to the culture of the U.K. and the rich history of the people.

It's 7 degrees F here at this moment. Earlier, it was 3 degrees with a wind chill of - 10. The forecast says several day of this ... until Wednesday, I heard. It's totally bitter.
I need to go to the market and make one other stop. Gonna go and get it over with. Fleece, boots, gloves and coat!
Hope your weather is better than my weather.

Beth, in must be nice to live in the Tropics, here they are predicting 24 degrees below zero. Personally I don't believe that it will be less that 20 degrees below zero.

YIKES..... cheffy said....this is going to get me into trouble, but I always thought of the English as Americans with a funny accent these documentaries have been an eye opener as to the culture of the U.K. and the rich history of the people.[/quote] .... NOW CHEFFY DO YOU MEAN THE uk OR DO YOU MEAN THE English...THERES A DIFFERENCE YOU KNOW though the different regional accents are not quite as prominent now dry but quite cold and damp...though the wind seems to have abated for a while...we haven't had any flooding here although the streams are very full and the ground is oozing water...some of it lying on the top of the ground which is so wet it wont allowed it to drain away.....the sheep are looking very miserable indeed nothing on the agenda today...

this is going to get me into trouble, but I always thought of the English as Americans with a funny accent. On the other hand, British people look on Americans as distant cousins who can't spell our language properly.
