Once you change your eating habits, though, you'll lose weight and you'll be so much more comfortable you'll probably stick with it. In my experience losing weight just means you'll put it back on, and more... lots more!

I hear tell it's a matter of changing ones life style and eating habits, overall ... permanently.

Yeah but I can't wait to shift the belly so I can pig out on a massive round of bacon and egg butties. And a pizza. And home-made cheese burgers. And beer!

I have never had a weight problem..suppose I and my brother were the lucky ones..we can/could eat anything and as much as we like without puttng on weight and neither of us were ones to deprive ourselves when it came/comes to chocs..creams and sweet things our sisters though put weight on alarmingly and were always having to trim themselves during each pregnancy I went up to over 14 stone..which dropped away as soon as the sprogs were delivered

You have to have lots of other things to think about!

I did lose a lot of weight, quickly, in 2007. But that was cancer... Once it was fixed (thanks to the surgeon) it came back, helter skelter - and as I now had insufficient lung capacity to do anything energetic, I'm a blimp... again... Funny thing is I eat less than I ever did - and it makes no difference.

Good morning everyone. I have gym this morning then not much on at all. Trying to stay away from the shops, the crowds are unbelievable.

Do what your doc says is the best thing for you. That's the way you'll feel better.

Oh, I've told her that I've 'done' weight loss a couple of times in the past, and there's no way I'm going through that again (at my age) - I didn't feel any better for it. At least as a slob I'm not tempted to chase women, which is better for me and for the women... :-)
