Believe or not, I just heard a clip of this song on Country File! (TV programme about the countryside... tonight it was Dorset.) Enjoy!

P.s. It was so incongruous, watching Country File and hearing this song on the programme!

Maggie, you've lost me completely. Could you tell those of us not in the know a little about this?

Maggie, you've lost me completely. Could you tell those of us not in the know a little about this? About the programme or the song Beth? The TV programme, Countryfile, is on Sunday afternoons and it is about people, farming and places in the English countryside. The song..... it was weird to hear it on countryfile. Desmond Dekker was popular in the 1960s. His most famous songs were "Israelites" and "007 Shanty Town". He died in 2006. It Mek lyrics are a bit strange: You think I never see you when you jump over de wall You think I never see you when you accidentally fall Me said a it mek, mek you pop your bitter gall A it mek, while you accidentally fall A it mek, hear she crying out for ice water I really like the song though.

Must be decidedly English because I'm lost in translation. The show sounds nice, though ... beats selling duck calls.
