It's been raining cats and dogs today. Went to a garden centre to see if I can get some bargains. Lots of things reduced and I was looking for some lavender for a lavender hedge and another apple tree (russet). There was a russet apple tree reduced by 50% but the leaves were going brown so I didn't risk it. Bought one lavender plant but need a few more.

yes I think so. we have a lot already stored and another pile waiting to be cut if needed our neighbour is in the same position... it isn't our main heating/hot water system we have a combi for that....its more of an indulgence as we like to have the multifuel going because its cosy....once it gets going though we don't need the central heating on all the time even in the worst of weather..so its quite practical

Very hot today but with a kind of haze over everything. Cicadas doing their greek chorus best to add a soundtrack. Definitely late summer. All the foliage and vegetation is still lush and green but beginning to look a little wilted around the edges. I love this time of year. August, September and October are my favorite months.

Oh! That's pretty, Sug. Really fresh looking.
Well, I have been here all evening since sundown Sunday ... and yet I haven't been here at all! My server had a Sunday night hiccup and I've been down - off line - yet still logged on. I hate when that happens but now and then ... it does.

Good morning, Who! Wide awake! Look alive! I churned out another quick-theme yesterday that I'm enjoying. The name is ICE. Go have a look and you'll see why. It's very simple and a kind of novelty design. Off to bed soon. Have a reasonably tolerable Mondy morning.

its a cold morning after a cold night....I really didn't want to get up this morning but the dog needed breakfast and his lordship needed waking the colours are changing little by little and the trees are not as leafy and luscious as they were...funny how before the leaves fall they seem to shrink

Almost forgot the quiz. I'll do that before I go back to bed.
Stay warm and enjoy your day, mouse.

No more lounging around airports? Awww ... know you're saying, "oh Darn!" Good to see you Chris. I feel your pain ... have 2 hard drivers full of "important stuff", on a shelf in my bedroom closet. If I ever really need to find something I *could* get into them, but I'll bet they're still in the same spot - unmoved - next year at this time. Still have the virus-like problems I had over the weekend and am starting to think it's more seasonal allergies than virus. Home today and hopefully back in the routine tomorrow.
