the roads are some what narrow and windy once off the main roads....although the 2nd pic is more or less a main road...much used in the tourist season when the coastal roads are clogged up... when I say north wales I mean just parts of it the snowden area....which are the few pics which didn't get deleted[by accident ]

That's cool mouse. I like all the green. The narrow roads could be a problem.

bedgelert...gelert was a dog belonging to a lord his favourite dog[the type of hunting dog an irish wolf hound..very large] ....the lord went hunting leaving gelert the dog behind but on his return found the cradle of his baby son overturned and blood every where including on the dog gelert..the lord assumes the dog had kill;ed the baby and killed the dog in his rage and upset...then he found the child alive and the body of a dead wolf which gelert the dog had fought in order to save the child the lord was filled with remorse and buried the dog and named the place bedgelert after the brave hound.....we could have gone to where gelert is buried..instead we went to a studio which makes and sells carvings..i bought a carved frog and a carved welsh dragon when its been raining this river turns into a raging torrent and water cascades down the sides of the hills and along the road is just one waterfall after another....only been caught once in those conditions and don't wish to repeat.......the boys were much younger and they were quite quite scared and thought we were going to be swept away...

yes Dex the roads are a bit of a problem..especially if one meets a bus and of course there are tourist buses in abundance ...there are passing places here and there..even so its a tight squeeze

this is typical of the older type of cottage..very similar to the crofts of SSotland and Ireland looking at the walls it was probably built mainly of slate although stone is often used
