That's really nice, Annie. John would have a whole new career going if he'd pick up on some of the old, more obscure, R&B and Doo-wop and offer fresh versions. He's a great singer over all, but falsetto is his personal magnum opus.
I've been listening to this ever since I came in a bit ago. Next time, I'm going to try to make the time to watch it as well.

Tonight only ... promise. Grilling is going on in my backyard. Grilling and a few beers. A good friend loves to play "gotcha" with music on such occasions. These are the 2 he played tonight and challenged us to come up with the group who charted them. Nobody knew. I guessed a couple of times and finally insisted it was some southern group that recorded out of Mussel Shoals studios, but .. no, wrong wrong and wrong. One thing we all agreed on. It's solid 70s. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamilton,_Joe_Frank_%26_Reynolds

I lost the video of this performance for a long time. Either Youtube didn't have it or I didn't know how it was labeled. Finally found it again. Can anybody tell me the name of the Sax player? I think someone ... maybe Tempus Fuget .. solved that puzzle for me some time ago, but I'm not sure and didn't keep the information. Take a look and if you know .. let me know.
