I've found it depends on what it's used for. I use Chrome for PB sites (obviously since there IS the Google affiliation), but IE works well for me elsewhere and also in email so I keep both active most of the time. I wouldn't use IE at all and certainly not for anything that requires any sort of security. IEs vulnerabilities are well-documented and legion - and seem to get worse with each version. I have to go with IE at work, but that's a corporate system thing. Apart from the the fact that IE is well and truly embedded in all Win versions, my major gripe with it is that it isn't W3 compliant. That means you have to do some nifty scripting and styling to ensure you get a W3 result in all browsers including IE. Why do Microsoft do it? Because they can.
