am now scrubbed up and await the arrival of sons lady friend to whom we are about to be introduced for the first time.....trying to hit the middle ground and be welcoming but not overdoing it....the same goes for her to of course......it cannot be easy meeting us for the first time and today its three of us all in one go I know her name and that she comes from """dahn sarf """ and she has never ventured up north...and that is it... hope I like her but it doesn't really matter whether I do or not as long as she is what makes the son happy...that is all that counts so all fingers crossed

Hi everyone. I've been away for the Easter weekend and it was freezing cold, even tried to snow. Now the sun is out and it's quite warm. Got a few more days off work though so might start the gardening. As Browning says: Oh, to be in England Now that April's there

Good morning, Who. Thank you sweetly for coming on into April. Mouse, good luck with the meeting and greeting. All the meetings probably mean things are going well between them, so, just for that, she deserves positives. Hope you like her. Aprils are better there than here, usually. Nice verse, Maggie. Ours (first thought of) is "April showers bring May flowers." Promises promises. Our April showers are quite often major thunderstorms and deluges. The first of those is forecast for next Monday. ps I know the mid-section of this country has been in a drought situation for too long and I wish them well, but so far .. not us ... AND when we have hard rain we often lose power for hours.

Well the news is not good or not bad, just so so. I'm being handed off to the big team. If the second smaller nodule is linked to the first bigger nodule, that ain't good. It means it's spreading and it'll be full body radiation/chemo for me. If the second is independant of the first then that's more of what we want to see. It does not look like surgery will be the first thing. He was talking about Gamma-Knife Radiation for one or both. These new doctors have access to better and bigger equipment, also more refined equipment. I see the new doctor next Tuesday, apparently it's not one doctor it's a whole team of doctors'.
My job now is to make my lungs stronger. I have another new med inhaler called a Spiriva inhaler.

Hoping for the best for you Sugi. It sounds like this team effort might work in your favor.
Make it so.

well we met and it all went well all very easy and relaxed..and we laughed a lot which is always good...not the slightly hysterical laugh of people who are uncomfortable with each other...but the laughs of peeps who are easy together she comes from London and found it all rather different up here and oh so cold..........born in the east end..so a real Londoner..cant rember which part she now lives in... she got along well with daughter and grandson 2 was at his most charming..lawks..he is a real grown up now ... we drove out to lunch..the snow still packed high against the walls ...and the hills looking like a black and white drawing where the snow is still scoured acroos the land any way I am well pleased and happy for her with how it went.. and feel that she will/does fit in very well..i hope her view of us is as positive and that we will meet again in the not too distant future its always difficult for the new ""friend"" after a breakup frosty morning and windy too....have to go food shopping..boring but necessary

Glad your meeting went well mouse. Must've been nice to catch up after so long.
Taking my son to the airport this afternoon as he is off to France to live and work. Going to be spending a weekend in Antibes soon visiting sons. So that's two sons in France. So glad my daughter lives nearby in Brighton!

Sounds like a very good meet-up for all of you, mouse. Bet it was nice to have the occasion to get out and about after being (more or less) snowbound a few days. Maggie, it's often the daughters who are happier staying close to home-territory. Good wishes to your son with the new job and move. Nice that both sons will be there to visit. Sometimes things work out for the best. Still chilly this morning but with bright sunshine. Sales are going on today, here and there. Thinking "shoes".
