Morning all Mild day here - cloudy but dry, 10C/50F with a light SW breeze My wife got on board late last night; we're planning to drive across the Humber Bridge into Hull this afternoon Bet you were pleased to see Mrs Mark! Mark, sometimes you remind me of the shipping forecast .... in a good way of course! After a couple of days without rain, guess what.... it's raining, not hard, just drizzle but I wish we could have cold, frosty, seasonal weather for a change as it's quite mild at the moment. I think nature is a bit confused. There's insects flying around, I saw a butterfly in a garden centre yesterday. The birds are ignoring the food on the bird table so they must be finding food. Daffs are poking out of the soil already!

Here's a useful link, if anyone's interested. www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/surface-pressure/Once you understand what the symbols mean, you can make your own mind up as to what's likely to happen, weather-wise. Sometimes I think that 'forecasters' should look outside once in a while, though Oh, here's another useful site xcweather.co.uk/

I was thinking more of the shipping forecast for the seas around the UK. I remember listening to them when I was a child and wondering where Viking and Dogger bank were. Thanks for links though Mark, very interesting.

Thanks for links though Mark, very interesting. NP hun - I find them to be very useful - and it's nice to see one's own predictions, based on reading the synoptic chart, being more accurate than the ones given out by the pseudo-slebs on the TV ;D Oh, www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/marine/guide/shipping/key.htmlwww.users.zetnet.co.uk/tempusfugit/marine/chart_seaarea.gifAnd in the words of Flanders and Swann, "Britain's got Rockall" ;D

took almost two hours just to order one simple tv over the internet.....between phone calls, instant messaging and the internet, finally found one company that sells to the prison and tv fit all requirements....they can have this, but they can't have that....oh, wait a minute, that is not allowed either and the rest of the stuff is out of stock LOL Jumbo will understand what I'm talking about although this is more difficult because of it being for a condemned inmate rather than mainline. there are only a couple of vendors that you can get stuff from. walkenhorst is probably the best one for tv's and stuff. none of it is cheap though. i don't see how the tv in the cell works anymore. there certainly isn't any cable in the cellblock, and you have to have the box for over the air channels. did you have to get him one of those? i'm irate at the idiots at ccwf, what's new, for sending back a couple of letters because we didn't put the W in front of hazel' s sisters cdc number.

They now have limited cable in the cellblocks plus San Quentin runs it's own channel with newer movies at times. The sister hasn't been in that long to have a W has she? Unless they do it differently than men, the ones with B,C, D, or E have been in the prison system a long long time.....Jeff's starts with a E. Walkenhorst is good but slow and more expensive so usually I use Access or Union Supply; I was able to find the tv a Access cause condemned aren't allowed speakers as they have a open cell door rather than the newer prisons that have the full metal door......noise level problem so no speakers solves that except a good pair of headphones will set you back almost $50 I run into the problem that you don't have to deal with is that being condemned, there are more regulations as to what can be purchased for them vs mainline inmates. It's a maize of regulations and jumping through the hoop and then hope everything gets there in a timely fashion as the tv will take almost two weeks before he has it from when I ordered it. It was $226 with shipping for a RCA 13".....

I'm all out of sync today thinking it is Monday.......but then seeing Santa's sleigh, the virgin mary, and presents in the back of a pickup in the parking lot is not conducive to a mentally healthy day
I keep looking out the window but they are still sitting there......do you think it is a sign from god?
